So here is a little bit of a scenario. Lets say it is back in legion and we are approaching the time where it is time to raid antorus. Suddenly you get a knock on our door and you see goblin. The goblin warlock shows up with a small demon in his jar and tells you that he shrunk Sargeras down. However he is going to let him out and bring up to full size if he doesn’t get roughly 3 billion gold within a few days. The Illidari have also checked and confirmed that Sargeras is nowhere to be found. How do you handle the situation?
Bonus question: If you got the jar, what would you do with it?
Okay. Lets assume in this situation that if someone tries to kill the goblin then it turns out to be a body double and you find a message tell you to leave the money at such and such a location. And the goblin warlock is coming there with bodyguards.
I could be wrong but I don’t know if “extort the Illidari by offering them the chance to kill Sargeras” is exactly the best money-making scheme I’ve ever heard.
Far more likely what would happen in this scenario is these Illidari would just kill the goblin. And if the goblin was being protected they would gather forces and fight him. If the goblin was using a body double, they’d track the real one down. The goblin would be better off trying to sell them the method to kill Sargeras without being malicious.
The startup cost alone would be not worth it. For as much as that goblin is charging the Illidari, it surely must have cost him worlds more to afford a shrink ray that can shrink Sargeras.
i’d first want to know what Type and pet Breed mini-Sargeras would be, and if his ability options included anything useful…
a lot of the new pets have really lackluster abilities combos, compared to the mechanical pandaren dragonling, the Ansub idol and even iron star… for that kind of money he better be full on broken!
and either way i’d worry that it was scam, and that the goblin WAS Sargeras in disguise, and the thing in jar was just illidan being “returned” to sender.
