when are you supposed to change this out for another ring? i have a Faded Championship Ring, and Jastor Diamond, both bis, and higher ilvl to the circlet, sim told me to change it out, but i see people on my server with maxed mythic gear on and still using the ring, not sure if i am suppose too or not, not finding much help on this question
If you ran the sim and it came out better, no one around here is going to be able to give you any better info than that. I’d say go for it.

it’s going to vary from spec to spec, and beyond that from one player to the next depending on what your other gear is. some people will have it for a very long time, like outlaw rogues.

If sim says it’s better go for it.
Essentially with the current best in slot items a lot of classes are either changing over at a 665 or 678 ring.

This was max level 658 (I think). Just save in your bank who know might get upgraded later.
I have the ring till better ring so I will change the better rings
some specs say that the circlet is bis through s2. Some specs it’s not.

Yeah mine still sims higher than the Mythic rings I’ve gotten so far.
I think any spec that favors Mastery will have a tough time finding something better right now.

It depends on class and spec. For my hunter, it’s bis. For my dk, it’s not.
I would check guides and sim just to make sure.

With most players at an ilvl above 670 now prob need to replace the ring unless some heavy mastery spec/usecase.
I think im just gonna keep mine till next season

If your class prefers high Mastery, I think it’s normal that the circlet could be better than a Myth level ring simply because that mastery gem is going to make it ~25% more powerful (because it scales the ring to your Mastery) than any other ring at 658 item level.
the other possibility is that your spec scales so badly with most secondaries that the flat damage procs are actually worth hanging on to. outlaw is in this position, or was last i checked.

The ring is BiS for a lot of class/specs still, so…likely season 3.

The fact that this is the answer to most of the challenges wow presents players is the reason why the game is so alienating.

Why. If you care what % change a piece of gear will make, there is a tool for that. If you don’t care, it literally doesn’t matter.

can’t you just sim yourself on the target dummies? My guess is it’s not going to be much of a difference between the cyrce’s circlet and a mythic ring.
the fact that you can’t tell if a piece is an upgrade or not by looking at it is not a player issue
