Question about Thunderfury

Hi, I skipped legion so i am not so sure how to get thuderfury in legion.

Can anyone tell me how to get and what are the requirements to start this quest?

Well you would need to go to new dalaran and pick up your rogue quest which will spawn when you enter the city, he will direct you to a quest that will ask what spec you are pursuing, I think outlaw is the one that has the thunderfury artifact. you wont get it right away but you will have to find how to obtain hidden appearances. i am not sure if thunderfury is a mage tower appearence if it is then you are out of luck. :frowning:

What I am wondering is that do I have to finish all the artifact quest to obtain hidden appearance.

And also do I have to raise reputation in High mountain?

You have to have the Outlaw artifact. After you get the first binding, the quest to get the second one in Vault of the Wardens is given by the dragon mother in Stormheim. So you’ll have to do all the quests in Stormheim until you rescue her before she’ll talk to you. I unlocked all the colors. That was an annoying chore.

The Thunderfury hidden appearance for Outlaw Rogues mimics the method for obtaining the original, in that you have to obtain two “halves” of the bindings from two different 5-man dungeon bosses in Legion:

  • Dargrul in Neltharion’s Lair, the last boss
  • Ash’golm in Vault of the Wardens, the molten giant boss in the ice room.

Both are random drops, and I think the difficulty setting of the dungeon doesn’t matter; also recall something about only one chance per day, across all difficulties (if you kill the boss on normal, and no drop, it won’t drop on a repeat run on any difficulty that day). To note, these items have the same text colour as the artifact weapons themselves; you shouldn’t miss them.

Once you have both halves of the bindings, it’s just some running around to do as part of the quest to finally get them.
