Will you be able to use the 85 boost that comes with it on a monk when Pandaria releases?
more than likely because the boost is in the store anyway unlike before hand where it was not in the store.
The only restriction theyâve noted so far is that it canât be used on a Panda.

This is the full information we have about the new pack. As far as it indicated than pandaâs will not be allowed to use the boost, but monk may. (This could be subject to change, so Iâd keep that in mind.)
considering the TBC boost could not be used on a horde pally/alliance shaman, and the Wrath boost could not be used on a DK, i doubt the MoP boost can be used on a monk
The shaman and paladin were also only one race. I remember being able to boost draenei and bloodelf on tbc release but not horde paladin or alliance shaman.
It does make it kind of weird that they would specify pandaâs over monks.
If we were following the tbc logic than monks would be the thing that was blocked.
I suspect they may go ahead and block monks, just because they wonât want monk world first to come from a boost. Though I would love if blizzard would clarify this, as I bet a lot of people will hold onto the boost for a monk.
If I had to make wild guess, it may be because, originally when you made a Pandaren, you didnât choose your faction until the end of the starter zone, rather than at creation like it is on retail now. Might be theyâre just avoiding the issue of boosting a character with no faction ahead of time
It could also be whoever wrote the article just wasnât thinking and naturally associated Pandaren and Monks together. Never know with Blizzard and it wouldnât be the first time something like this had happened
I think back in OG Pandaria though you were able to boost Monks, but if you did you wouldnât get world first, so I doubt thatâs an issue now
