Hey all, tried finding this on Wowhead and on the discord, couldn’t find an answer, and I’m having a hard time remembering how this fight went in Legion:
I know that the fight beats are staggered at certain percentages, some are on timers. This has happened twice now:
Get to the bottom bit of the fight, farseer and jarl are below 20%, and blood of the father and ancestral knowledge just go back to back. Last attempt I had this happen started happening right after I downed Jarl, Sigryn was at approx 20%, farseer was in the teens and going down fast, and then I just got my streams crossed. I read somewhere there’s an enrage timer, but I want to be sure: am I hitting an enrage timer, am I just hitting that end of encounter insanity or …did they have to go down at around the same time? If memory serves you could easily find yourself fighting Sygrin alone for a bit.
TIA, I know this version of the encounter is supposed to be easy but man oh man, I think I hate Sigryn more than I hate Xylem or even Kruul.
Edit: Ok, re-read the wowhead guide, it seems I’m running into the enrage timer as it were. I guess at that point I should leave Sigryn cc’d if I can’t seem to squeeze more dps. Using this loadout, not using bis pots so that’s maybe one way to eek out more dps. I have tried drumming on pull and further in, doesn’t seem like drumming on pull is as bad as it was in legion.
Theres a 6 min soft enrage where they do their empowered abilities mroe often. From when i did it the axe guy when down first and iw as fighting the othet 2 for a while, i dont remeber what what percentage but i beat it with 2 of them alive.

The big difference is now they share health, while they didnt share health before in legion. So leaving Sigryn cc’d is actually super hurtful to your damage.
You should be spamming divine storm all the way. Honestly, I was using repent for the cast of Sigryn and then instantly break it just to continue to do aoe damage. Once you stop it, it’s over.
Don’t forget to use your wog if you’re ever in danger, its the best healing spell in the game for a dps. You shouldnt essentially ever die really.
I know there is an addon similar to dbm to call you the mechanics in advance. So when I was hearing the countdown from 3 I was precasting repentance from 1.
Don’t forget /cast [@sigryn] repentance, /cast [the axe guy] hand of hindrance and hammer of justice to automatically cc your targets easier without having to target them.

I misspoke - I meant, if I get to the enrage timer like I did on my best attempt, where it’s the farseer and Sigryn left, I might be better off perma cc’ing Sigryn so I would only need to deal with bursting down ancestral knowledge, runes and valkyrs.
If memory serves, the fight stops when Sigryn gets to 10%?
It’s definitely tighter tuned and different than Legion was. In Legion, even when it was first released, you could CC Sigryn a lot of the fight, but now you have to only CC to stop her big cast, and then go back to AoEing everything. And the damage requirement is much tighter, too. Maybe it’s because we had a lot of power with our Artifact Ashbringer, but this version is way overtuned compared to the Legion version.
Oh, and the flying Val’kyr deal shadow damage now, instead of physical. Meaning you can no longer use Blessing of Protection to prevent a bad placement hit.
Watch a video showing how to do it with fist of justice rather than repentance. I did like 20 attempts then reevaluated. Saw a video of using foj so as to maximize aoe and I beat it in 3 attempts.
I did not know this. FML.
If you haven’t beaten it yet, slap a Crusader enchant on a low Heirloom and level it up. The enchant will stay. Does a ton of damage and heals for near full on proc.
That is if that hasn’t been nerfed.
