So i have a few characters that are well geared but i cant get them to pump. My fury warrior for example is well geared with the cookie cutter talent points and other warriors that are similiarly geared or even undergeared than me can pump almost twice as much so im wondering whats going on here. Also on my priest in a ZG today had pretty much the same gear as me we were both going oom bjt he ended healing twice as much as me. So this happens to me across all classes and characters. No matter how many upgrades and enchants i get i cant seem to compete flr the top spot. If you were to look at my warriors gear you would say ok that probably pumps but i have trouble doing so… and i dont think my rotation is wrony. Bloodthirst heroic strike sunder armor keeping battleshout up. What do you guys think it could be. I know its not the gear i just want my logs to be better.
A huge part of pumping is about uptime.
If the other warriors are getting an extra global or two every pull, no amount of gear will make up for that.
You have to ride the fine line between pulling from tank and doing as much dps as possible
__
For healing, you have to figure out where the damage is going to go - and start healing those targets before it happens. Among other things.
__
Perhaps it is worth just focusing on one class and even making an alt of the same class if you want more raids.
The top parsers are doing everything perfect down to the pixel positioning, it is a lot about just practicing and improving a little bit each time. And learning to read the raid, know where threat is going to go, etc. each run is a little different but the lessons from the previous ones help.
Post the log or the character names.

Are you using a fast MH while dpsing? I think you want a slow MH for dps, though I am no warrior expert.
Also order by uptime - you can probably start hitting stuff faster.
you have more misses and less crits than the comparable warriors
looks like an itemization issue overall. remember similar ilvl doesnt mean similar quality thats a trap
But i have 9% hit and similar gear to them thats what i dont understand
Are you using a fast dagger for MH?
I believe when a warrior has heroic strike queued up - all their white hits will act as yellow (this the hit require drops dramatically). So if you are using a fast MH you may be getting more hits while its not queue’d up. But regardless, your heroics will be smaller with a faster mh.
Also you will build threat faster with fast MH - so you prob have to pull back early on and then pump less in middle / end.
I also think you can drop to 6% hit and turn that into 3% crit if using heroic properly - but don’t quote me there.

this is the log i’m using
Here’s what I see, can’t look super deep right now but just some obvious stuff
Gear/Consumes:
Missing shoulder enchant
Missing boot enchant
No HoJ
No Mighty Rage potion
Daggers aren’t great
On pull:
9 seconds before first attack, no heroic strike until 16.6 seconds, you sundered a boss with 5 sunders already
00:08.885 Apply Debuff Stack [5] )
There are no whirlwinds?
You are in raids where the best Warrior is parsing blue. You can only do so much on your own. If you really want to parse better than blue, then you need better groups.
As for your personal performance:
- No Songflower, no Darkmoon Faire. You have no chance without every single world buff.
- Daggers suck on Horde. Get an Obsidian Edged Blade from MC and play two-hand instead. (If you have 9% hit, then Bonereaver’s Edge / Dark Edge of Insanity / Ashkandi / any Naxx two-hander can also work)
- Hamstring (and Slam, if playing two-hander) when you have spare globals and extra rage. Hamstring is to fish for Windfury procs, Slam also procs windfury and does good damage.
So i should go 2 handed instead of dual wield?
I mean, you can dual wield, but Edgemaster’s aren’t cheap and that’s the only way you can get a slow axe or sword without nerfing yourself.
Two-hand is fine on Horde because windfury. It’s not good on Alliance.
2h would be better than daggers most likely, i’m assuming that your character is not an orc, without edgemasters on a race that isn’t orc u are kind of in trouble
Are you supposed to whirlwind single targets?im playing a tauren warrior.
In 99% of situations whirlwind is a big dps increase on single target, however with daggers and a lower geared warrior who is missing buffs you might be the 1% that it isn’t
I guess ill get an obsidian edge blade from mc when i get the chance and some sacrificial guantlets to replace my aclg and see how it goes. I completely forgot about slam i thought it wasnt even used
If I was you this is how I’d try to proceed
Get edgemasters or Expert gold miners helmet (might be extremely hard to get either of these)
then I’d try to get the best slow 1h axe/sword I can, I think on my first warrior I had a deathbringer from ony very early on (it was a gnome) then I used edgemasters + deathbringer / pugio for a long long time
So daggers seem to be the problem here?
there’s more problems than just daggers, missing buffs /consumes etc you will never parse well on a warrior
Do edgies work for 2 handers also?
