Heard that’s the best way to increase Infinite Power so what’s the entry ilvl and such to start farming? Also is it weekly lock out?
You are able to run Normal, Heroic, and Mythic difficulties each day for each raid (they are a daily lockout in remix). If you’re newly lv 80, I would highly recommend trying to do all 3 difficulties for each raid per day if you’re able to because of the ilvl infusion the loot will give you.
That being said, most groups aren’t going to take you sub ilvl 740 (the cap in remix) but you can try to apply and see what you can get. Occasionally a group will pop up with players willing to carry folks that are lower ilvl.
Also, do what you can to try to cap out your infinite knowledge (current cap is 32, it will increase come tuesday). The difference between having little to none and the current cap is something like more than 2x the difference in infinite power obtained.
I started applying for mythics at about ilvl 630 before just did heroic and normal.
also as tedious as it is do all the side quests the treasure box rewards give motes.
Motes are the most reliable way to increase ilvl as they are based of your gear and not static.
Mythic raids are doable once you hit 80. People doing 100M DPS alone right now.
Anyone declining you because of 500-600 item level for a mythic nighthold right now is dumb. Bosses are falling over in mere seconds and dead before the majority of the group is even there.
people gatekeeping on remix of all modes are just completely pet food grade human beings
As long as the raid has a couple 740s with decent vers, they’ll invite pretty much anyone, but you’ll stand a better chance of getting invited if your ilvl is above 600.
At 25. Wonder what else I can do to increase it.
https:_//completionism.com/events/legion-remix (remove the underscore _ after https:) offers a compact way to view what more you need to do for infinite knowledge. Use the import button on the left toolbar, select your realm and character name. On the tabs on the left of the page under “focus” only enable the option “rewards infinite knowledge” and under phases you can turn on the first two since we’re in p2 (p3 starts Tuesday). This will let you find out what more you’re missing. Since you’re mentioning that you’re somewhat newly 80, I would venture to guess that much of your missing knowledge is probably from “Earned infinite power” as this adds up to 12/32 total points you can earn. The rest coming from quest/dungeon/raid completions.
I cannot recommend Completionism enough. I focused on the tasks that gave IK and it’s taken about 2 weeks for me to nail everything, but it’s made a HUGE difference.
Curious, why? Isn’t the point of doing mythics to get better gear? If you are at 740 then you don’t need the gear.
It’s daily.
This is completely wrong. Most groups dont care, because 1-2 of the people there are doing 99.9% of the damage, so no one gives a damn about the other 22
You’re farming for IP and bronze, not really gear specifically, and from that angle unless group requests a vers note the higher the ilevel the higher the chance of a high vers. I wouldn’t say 740 is required though, people are just more likely to grab higher ilevel people.
I tried to get into mythic in late 500s, and never got in one. I’m 630 with like 30 vers and got into one so far; and it was just as easy as the rest so not sure why people gatekeep harder on it. Plus it’s not like suddenly I’m valuable with those stats, but if they’re going down the list to invite based off ilevel then the higher you are the better chance you have and mythic has less slots. Getting into normal and heroic has been easy though.
Edit: As far as OP goes the best way to get IP is via the mementos for IP, and to that extent mythic awards the most of them per boss. By the end of the remix doing every mythic raid will probably drop like 1000 of them. M+ is spammable though and another good source if you do high enough keys.
You do want to work on IK though, it sort of soft caps at 20, but the more the better.
They should be priority #1 starting as soon as you hit 80. You can try to keep up with the group, or you can sit at the drop and collect the loot in the mail. Note that Bronze won’t get mailed.
The lockout is daily and resets at the same time as Infinite Research, which should be your #2 priority.
A lot of raids will just accept you without caring what your ilv is now. Yeah, even the mythic ones.
Some will decline of course if you are too low, but if your max level I would just apply to several raids as you will be able to get into one pretty quickly. If you are having too much trouble getting a group it is pretty easy to make your own. People will apply like crazy within just a couple minutes. Especially if you call it a fresh run,
I went into mythics right after I hit level 80, maybe 510 ilevel or so? Took less than 5 minutes to find a group just apply, people will take you. Mythics are faceroll.
ilvl in remix isn’t tied to your raid difficulty but rather to the ilvl of your character. The main function of running mythic is to get mementos in order to grind infinite power, which is the main source of your damage in remix. And unfortunately, people just want to go fast so most groups will assume ilvl 740 players have, same mindset in retail really.
Of course this is functionally true. And you’ll definitely eventually find a group, you just have to keep applying. I only ever apply to 1-2 groups and always get instant invite, as well as everyone else signing up with ilvl 740. The fact is most people that aren’t 740 get passed up on. It doesn’t mean you’ll never get into a run, everyone can for sure. It just means you’ll probably have to take a few minutes hitting the sign up button, and that time generally increases the lower your ilvl is. Its just the mentality of most of the people making groups in lfg, for better or worse.
The terms have been confusing me in this remix. Is Infinite Power the same thing we used to call threads in the last remix?
Idk, I didn’t play mop remix. Infinite power is the currency used to upgrade your artifact weapon. After filling in your chosen tree at level 80 you then unlock “limits unbound” which is the long term power progression giving you increases to main stat, stam, and versatility. It caps at rank 999 (+999% vers) and occurs after you’ve collected and infused your weapon with a grand total of 50 million infinite power.
You can start as soon as you hit 80, people will invite you now since most people can solo it.
