right now i have briarwood reed, zandalarian hero charm and eye of the beast.
usually i equip briar and the charm to burst bosses but, if the fight takes long enough the charm becomes useless and have no need to be equipped
is there a way that i can swap the charm for eye of the beast while in combat?
so why we should have 4 trinkets on us all the time?
wowhead says that charm, MQG, ToEP and tears are all mage’s bis
I have no idea. You’d have to ask wowhead.
If an item has a cooldown of say, 5 minutes and you kill an enemy and engage another one within that window, you would have time to switch your trinket.
You probably only have time to rotate 2 really, so you want Tear + MQG + ToEP/Charm
so i have to rotate trinkets between fights?
It’s an option you are allowed to use.
Depends on how quickly your guild kills bosses, but in BWL its an entirely legit strategy to swap on use trinkets between some bosses (think Razergore/Vael, Ebonroc/Flamegor) to avoid the CD. I also use ToEP>ZHC on fights that I have the potential to pop it twice
i see, basically if i pop ZHC i have to keep it till the end of fight and change it after it ends, right?
that’s worth doing, yes. ZHC I believe has more damage potential, while ToEP only has a 1min 30sec CD. So I also swap out based on fight duration
EDIT: this is assuming you, like me, don’t have MQG. MQG>ZHC>ToEP
You can only swap weapons during combat. Everything else has to be changed between fights

thank you for your answers
i was struggling thinking it was possible to change trinkets while in combat
not unless you find a way to drop combat and swap before you start back. Also, on use trinkets has a 30 sec CD when you first equip it.
