I was thinking of using an AoE frost mage spec for classic. How does this work in 5 man dungeons? Does it pull a lot of aggro? I see the single target frostbite spec is suggested to new classic players, but I’m liking the idea of AoE, with blizzard and or flamestrike.
Mainly I just want to know how to optimally use it in dungeons without pulling aggro off tank, or is frost bolt the better route for 5/10 man dungeons?
For the most part you don’t aoe in dungeons, but dungeon difficulty is set that you can still spec into blizzard for solo play and have enough about you to single target for dungeons.
If you have a good AOE group and a druid or paladin tank, specifically built around AOE, then maybe you could do it, but if you just start AOEing in a dungeon, you might have some fairly unhappy companions.
