Mage/rogue/priest
The three I’m thinking about. Anyone have any takes on leveling one of these classes? Maybe slowest/fastest or How good these classes will be in TBC?
What is leveling like as of now that classic has died down? At least my sever seem dead. Sever: Smolderweb
I started TBC in 6th grade so never really noticed, but how long is TBC leveling from 60-70 does anyone know?
Final question, my main concern. How screwed am I for not playing classic and not being in raid gear? Going into TBC will that be annoying?
TBC leveling was way easier. You get a 58 boost so no need to bother with classic at all .
Play what you like. Priest is needed in all content. Rogue is pretty much only needed in 3v3 arenas. Mages are still best crowd control in game but very few are needed in raids.
All depends on what you want your “endgame” to be.

Unless you have Naxx and maybe some AQ40 gear, most will be rrplaced by the time you leave Hellfire anyway.
Play the class you want. However, of the 3 you mentioned, the priest can heal. Heals are needed. The other 2 have decent CC, which are needed in Heroics.

Mages are just overall good for both PVE and PVP. Leveling as a mage is ezpz.
Rogues probably best for PVP but oversaturated class for PVE as often people dont like more than 1 melee group in raids.
Priest probably hardest class to level in TBC, great in PVP and you wont have a single problem finding a raid/dungeon spot if you do Disc or Holy. Leveling might be hard because you dont have good aoe, and going shadow is a mana drain.
Overall leveling. Its not hard just takes some time as the experience rate goes up drastically and you will probably have to end up running all zones and doing almost all quests to hit 70. You can probably do 60-70 in about a week.

Solo, mage and rogue, Dungeons priests.
Depends on what you enjoy doing.
Dps is always saturated, as a healer you maybe very slow going solo but you’ll always find groups for Dungeons/raids/pvp.
Majority of servers are affected by boosting, but you can still find groups id recommend the addon Global ignore list if your not fussed on boosting.
You’re not, most of the bis classic gear is replaced in 2-3 levels.

Spirit Tap + spirit take a ton of the agony away. Priests are very capable levelers just due to the fact that they don’t need to drink often at all. They’re not Hunter/Feral/AOE Mage tier of leveling, but they’re close behind.
