Question About Leveling As Holy Paladin

So I’m currently level 50 and I’m a killing machine. Does this stay the same from 50-80? I mean, holy shock crits are amazing. (PvE wise)

I can also hold my own in gank attempts. I killed a lock, druid, shaman, and priest today pretty much no problem thanks to holy shock crits and exorcism crits. Will this stay the same at level 80 or will I struggle at killing other players?

I just hit 74 soloing on holy pally. My damage is alright holy shock doing 15-20% of a mobs health and I’ve been able to solo every group quest and elite except 1 so far.

I think the main strength I’ve had though is my ability to aoe 5-7 mobs down at once while I focus 1-2 with holy shock / judgements.

Idk about your speed goals but I’m roughly 4hr/Lv so far which is average or slightly below for a solo quest grind.

Not really trying to beat and world records while leveling as a healing spec. Just want to know if it stays about the same in terms of damage output because I like the pace I’m going at currently.

Yeah I’ve been leveling as holy and it’s been strong. I’m 78 now and it’s slowed down a bit maybe but not too much, and yeah aoe is fun!

I’d say prot is still better but this has been a fun change, and healers seem more in demand while leveling.

It might slow down a tad but I’ve felt pretty consistent. Plus post 70- you run into a lot of undead mobs which gives you boosted DPS with 2 skills which names escape me… a single target that always crits on undead and a decent aoe stun for undead mobs that hits about as hard as a holy shock.

Get dual spec and melt things as ret

Nothing in my post says anything about going ret, playing ret, being ret. I know…reading is hard

no, they killed shockadin in wrath it’s pitiful compared to TBC, shock is basically just there for the possible crit.
