So here’s my question, if I have the Tower Challenge appearance but haven’t unlocked all the tints yet can I unlock them on another character or is that forever locked to the character I got the appearance with originally?
So long you completed the specialization that earned the Mage Tower appearance back in Legion, you can still work on the rest to unlock the other three appearances.
You can’t however, earn it the same way if you haven’t earned it on another specialization of that class, and it isn’t across all classes either. It has to be that ONE specialization that has done it, beat it, and can use it.
I see, I ask because I’m planning on changing servers (by which I mean make new characters on the chosen server and deleting the old because I am not paying $160 to get all my guys out)
I’d suggest just keeping the ones that completed in case you haven’t gotten the other 3 appearances that can do them in case you want to complete it since most of them do take a bit since it is mainly just do 1000 world quests, certain amount of dungeons or do a timed M+ run. So do keep that in mind.

Why would you delete you toons?
To unlock all tints for the mage tower challenge appearance, you have to do the following:
- 10 Legion Dungeons
- Defeat Kil’ Jaeden (Tomb of Sargeras) on heroic or mythic
- 10 Rated BG wins
To be safe, I would do all those on the character with the mage tower completed before deleting any characters. (Honestly, if i were you, i just wouldn’t delete the character at all to be safe).
Also, once you complete the activity, you have to log out and log back in before you can see the tint as unlocked.
You have to do it on the one that did the mage tower. I did the 10 rated bgs on the wrong character and didn’t get the tint.
