Question about Housing, alts, and cross-server

Maybe I missed it somewhere but have they discussed how housing works across servers? Say if I have some mains on Moonguard, but then some alts on Wyrmrest, will they be sharing the same house or will it be per server?

I assume that the housing will be according to the connected realms, but I think Moon Guard is on its own isolated RP realm.

How would the multiple realmed accounts work exactly?

EDIT: More specifically this should be about neighborhoods and whether my toon on moon guard will be able to choose from neighborhoods that have only other MGers, or if its going to be every single server able to mix together in the same neighborhood…

Since MG is separate from other cross server connections, will the neighborhoods there be ONLY for MG? And if so, how does that affect my cross realm characters from WRA and A52?

Each Battle.net account will have one Horde house and one Alliance house. All characters on your Battle.net account will share the same houses.

Right I know that but my curiousity is how does that work with neighborhoods and realms? Is every single realm going to be connected to the housing instances? Will that make neighborhoods not server-group specific?

So my Moon Guard character won’t be on a neighborhood with only other MGers, but from every possible realm? Curious about this for RP purposes, if its going to mix everyone together or keep it servergroup specific like crossrealms…

Sounds to me like 2 characters are getting houses and everyone else is staying homeless.

that doesnt explain how the servers will handle it though, we already know its account wide and one house per faction, thats common knowledge, but theres been no word on how the neighborhoods themselves function in relation to servers

I am just assuming here but I think the system just picks at random who is assigned to which neighborhood your assigned to and then creates another one when it gets full. This is all based on which plot you want and what kind of neighborhood you want (private or public) this is just speculation on my part but I assume cross server neighborhoods would work in this way

Dang if thats so, its a bit unfortunate since I was looking forward to MG having its own isolated public neighborhoods. I imagine this means that people will have to go to RP guilds to stay in RP-heavy neighborhoods or risk being too spread out.

There are also private charter neighborhoods. You won’t need a guild to stay separated.

I could be wrong but I don’t they have gone into the detail of how hoods will be worked. My take on it was that it would be logical to place a character’s house on the server the character is created on.

I cant imagine the hoods would be region wide, the latency issues would just be too problematic. But if its done by server for the character making it, then if you make it on a character on an RP server, then the hood would be on that RP server.

As I say, I dunno, this is conjecture but it seems logical.
