Question about hero talents and Mindbender

I noticed this morning on my disc priest that the Voidwraith Hero talent in the Voidweaver tree, “Transforms your Shadowfiend or Mindbender into a Voidwraith,” but the Mindbender talent says “Replaces Voidwraith.” However, with that talent taken, casting it still summons the Voidwraith.

With that is there still any advantage to taking Inescapable Torment and Mindbender? Does the Voidwraith gain any advantage by taking these two talents? I would think Inescapable Torment would actually be bad as you want the Voidwraith to be at a distance anyway to avoid the cleaves, but it’s required for the mindbender talent. Am I missing something obvious here?

Voidwraith gets the cd reduction and extra damage events.

I found depth of shadow’s with a basic shadowfiend, essence devourer, and deathspeaker to work quite well if you want an alternate approach for soloing.

Oh I see the one minute cool down vs 3 minute cool down, thanks can’t believe I missed that lol! That’s definitely an advantage, just seems like you wouldn’t want Inescapable Torment for a voidwraith in that case. It’s also still weird that the tooltip says “Replaces Voidwraith.”
