Still new to posting on here, been a long time forum reader, question is: What are the mechcanics of forum posting? If a post becomes so popular does that person get like a “rank” of sorts? Thank you in advance
No. There are no rewards for posting a lot or getting a lot of engagement.
Trust levels require reading posts and visiting the forum, giving a few likes. Not getting them. Those trust levels are not visible to others and only grant the ability to post links.
This pinned post at the top of the forums talks a bit about it. It is out dated, but gives the basic idea of how it works.

You can view others’ trust levels. You’ll need to jump through one hoop to do so, but it can be done. Having that info doesn’t do anything for you though since it pertains to that poster, not someone else that might be looking up the information.
