Question about Dirt piles and druids

I am doing some of those dirt piles on one of my druids has it always been you have to shift out of flight form in order to use a shovel?

I don’t have too when I mine …

So you get the option to stay mounted whike mining/herbing with mount thingies.

Dirt piles are different and yes you shift out
