Question about crafting and Sparks

I’ve only been in the expansion a few months, so please keep that in mind concerning my question.

I am leveling several Professions and I want to craft some transmogs for my characters… I notice that a ton of these items need some sort of Spark in order to create them, but I have an extremely limited number of Sparks to use. I couldn’t care less about getting better gear… I am only after the transmog.

So is there a reliable/fast source for accumulating the low level Sparks?

And (more importantly) can it be done in solo play?

I am usually a fan of crafting and professions but I am kind of on the fence with this incarnation of them. That said, I am sure that there are things about the system that I am unaware of.

I’m unsure if old sparks still drop, but the only solo way to get them is probably the weekly quests. Your other options that might be easier are things like world bosses, normal dungeons, and lfr.

I just ran an alt to the Maiden of Inspiration and I got 5 Bottled Essence which create Spark of Ingenuity. If you haven’t done the quests on any character you might be required to run through all of them instead of doing the skip.
The maiden is on the east side of Valdrakken, between Bronze Enclave and Emerald Enclave.

I just did the same I wonder how fast the catch up will be for higher level spark.

For current season sparks, they drop like candy until you are caught up. From PvP, Dungeons, Raids, etc. I think we are on 12 sparks currently.

The current season Sparks are a bit overkill for what I need them for but I suppose they will do. Hopefully they drop in the Follower Dungeons.
