When I get a plate, gun, bow or mail armor as a mage, my other warrior/hunter characters were able to wear it? Does it add to the collection on my account?
When I get a plate, gun, bow or mail armor as a mage,
- if it is “Bind on Equip”, you can mail it to your other characters, and then they can wear it
- if it is “Bind on Pickup” or"Soulbound", you cannot send it to your other characters, but they learn the appearance of it, you learn it to the collection on yuour account, and they can use the appearance for Transmogrification.
- if it is “Bind on Equip”, you can right-click it on your mage. that will make it Soulbound, and you can’t send it, but your other characters learn the appearance.

Correct.
When you get a “Bind on Equip” item, you can either
a) use it yourself or
b) trade it to another character
What counts as “Use it”?
- You can equip it, if your character can equip it. That will make the item Soulbound, and add it to your appearance collection
- You can right-click it. If your character can’t equip it, that will still make the item Soulbound, and add it to your appearance collection, even though it isn’t equipped.
You will also learn the appearance if you sell it to a vendor.
Or disenchant it (if the character holding the item is an enchanter).
