Question about appear offline

Hii, just wondering, if you appear offline on battlenet- does it tell your friends when you queue for a dungeon/pvp/lfr?
I’m not talking about guildmates or people who have your individual character added tho
I can’t find a concrete answer anywhere :pensive:

I don’t think so. I’ve never had anyone whisper me when I do it. And I’ve got a few friends who will immediately jump on me for conversation the moment they see me online in Bnet. lol

I always assumed it was appearing offline to bnet friends but not wow friends. Which suits me because I don’t have any wow friends.

I have personally tested this once with an old buddy of mine.

If your Battle.net account is set to appear offline, it won’t tell your RealID friends when you queue for anything in-game.

So unless they somehow wind up in the same queue as you or catch your name as the creator of a premade group, you are affirmatively good to go.

I love my buddies, but I agree, lol. Sometimes I just want to do my dailies and mindlessly do M+ on my own while listening to podcasts without talking. Just shut my brain off for 2 hours.
