My hunter got one of these from Roh-Suir, and it was usable only on one ring. She has the Korthia helm, wrist, waist, and other ring, but for some unknown reason, it can’t be used on any of them even though they have no sockets… all ilvl 233. What am I missing?
My druid could use it on 2 items, the belt and helm, both Korthia ilvl 233 gear. Nothing else could be upgraded.

I have currency to burn so I thought I’d see if I could add a socket to a Korth helm for you and it went fine, no issues at all here (besides a 200 helm with a socket, now)
Could be a bug on your end?
It is still bugged, you have to open ticket and they will exchange your Alloy-Warping Facetor for a season 1 item. I just got done doing this for 3 toons each with 1-3 items I could not use item on.
Also when they reply don’t mark your ticket as resolved, go buy another and reopen ticket, to cut down time it takes to get reply.

Didn’t know this was a bug assumed it didn’t work on Korthia gear for whatever reason.
Thanks. I knew there had to be an answer. I’ll get that ticket going tomorrow when I log on.

Apparently they aren’t doing this any more. I had one replaced on 1/14 for one of my characters, but now on 1/16, 2 different GMs have told me I now have to submit a bug report. Neither would just replace it … /shrug
So I guess I’m done with trying to update my other characters that are coming up. I’ll just get them to 233 and let it go at that.
Here’s a scenario for Blizzard:
New raid gear and an item that is sold that adds a socket. But that socket doesn’t work on the raid gear… well, it works on some, maybe 1/2 or less of the intended gear. How long do you think it would take the dev team to fix the item so it would work on all of the intended pieces of gear? Seven months or more? That’s how long the Alloy-Warping Facetor has had a known bug but it is still not fixed.
Up until the 16th, they were replacing the facetors with Spatial Realignment Apparatus which was for lower tier gear but worked on the Korthia open world gear. Now they have decided that they will no longer replace the facetors or allow them to be refunded. They say there is no current resolution to the problem… YES THERE IS.
They are “working on a fix” but they have no idea when it will come… maybe after the new expansion hits and the gear is no longer needed.
Yes, Blizzard has an item that is intended to be used on 5 different items, BUT it doesn’t work. Any other item in the game is FIXED, not allowed to keep being sold and not working. Either stop selling the item or fix it.
