Questing, WQs went backwards in quality of life?!

Okay want to give some feedback on questing and WQs. I do a lot of questing with my GF and we have noticed a lot of them that involve pick up or gathering items are disappearing after one of us picks it up and not awarding credit to both of us. This is really weird, considering DF was the opposite of this. We really loved how great the QoL in DF was for questing in a group.

Now let’s talk WQs. We noticed many of these went backwards in QoL and with a good number taking much longer to complete due to two factors. First, spawn times seem to be low, I am finding we do end up spending a significant amount of time waiting for mobs or items to spawn. Second, I noticed if I pick up an item it disappears, and another player cannot get it nor my partner in my group. Again, something that was really weird to me because this was not common in DF.

So overall, I feel like while the story, quest variety etc has greatly improved and I am really enjoying the overall expansion, the quality of life while questing has changed for some reason. Is this intended? To prolong and require more play time out people? Seems like a total backward progression and really kind makes doing WQs when other players are around a bad experience.
