Just hit 40, got my mount and respec’d to shadow. From anyone’s experience is it faster questing or doing spam dungeons. I am in a high population server so grps are easy to come by for dungeons.
I’m on the highest pop horde server Illidan and dps queues are usually 12-25 minutes. So you should be questing in between to level faster. Healers have shorter queues.

I played classic until level 32. I spent more time questing because it’s often a long run to dungeons, and you get no exp while running and waiting for people. I ran most dungeons once and a few of them twice. Dungeons are great exp when you have quests in them, and there is good loot.
I preferred dungeons while doing quests only between dungeons runs. The only exception being if certain quests have rewards at the end that I want.
If I could dungeon to 60, I’d probably just do that.

I been holy since level 10. I find dungeon spam to be faster, but then again I do not like Shadow and I do like healing. Trying to quest as a holy priest, on a pvp server, without a friend, is a nightmare.
On my priest#1 I am lvling with a magey friend. They pull all things I heal. Lets me take all the healing talents I want ( priest#1 holy for RP reasons ) and quests are very fast. This is good if you lvl that toon exclusively with that friend, we have been doing quest zones and when we eventually hit a wall we spam dungeons and do the dungeon quests for a bit.
On my Priest#2 Im debating making him almost full disc ( again rp reasons ) for stronger shields and wand spec ( prob will get spirit tap cause hell be played solo but maybe not ) cause I know hell be alone mostly. Again though when I hit walls Ill just go do some dungeons.
I know itll be a bit slower but with stronger shields and wand spec alone Ill be able to take it easy and watch shows while he wands stuff to death lol.
Im guessing it might be faster to weave quests/dungeons if you have a good knowledge of the best places to go and grab all the dungeon quests. Im sure others will have better advice though Im still lower and taking my time :3

For the love of GOD do BFD at level 20 for Gravestone Scepter.
Do the dungeons (with ALL quests) once while leveling, they proved good loot and EXP, and help shake things up a bit.
Dungeons with decent melee cleaves or mge farms are massive xp. When not doing that do high grind quests. Gotta do basically everything. If u dont wana dungeon spam aoe farms, then yea do them once and ur done
