I have seen tons of people doing quests for “gold” and just burning through areas.

With BFD as a radio ( and unless they add back in the 5 man), gnomer as a raid, and SM as the planned 50 raid(currently)… people are going to be hard-pressed to find dungeon grinding…
Sounds to me like you’re suggesting that we won’t be able to dungeon grind Scarlet Monastery, because it won’t be available as a dungeon if it’s a level 50 raid.
I hadn’t considered this to be even something to consider, and don’t think it is, personally.
I guess we’ll see, but whatever they have planned with Scarlet Monastery, I can’t imagine anyone thinking they’d take away the Mail armor from Herod along with Ravager, and call it a winning formula for a successful phase 2.
Pretty sure we’ll have some sort of separate SM raid, or a lot of angry forum posts.
Oh, you also left out RFD and Uldaman from your post, both of which we’ll probably be spending some time in next phase, if not while leveling then at least for farming, similar maybe to how RFK is in phase 1.
Umm, idk… I could definitely see going to RFD at 38… and Uldaman even earlier. It starts out pretty easy, and gets higher in level as you work into it.
I can see it being a little awkward getting to 30, but once you hit 30 you can bounce between STV and Arathi for questing and backside of RFK and/or SM GY (I think SM GY is supposed to be open?) for dungeon grinding.
Gnomer was not accessible in P1… because they were planning to use it P2
That means SM will not be available P2 because they are going to use it P3

My point was I see tons of people burning through those quests in groups for the gold right now… now saving them for leveling…
They’ve literally said they’re specifically trying to pick disliked and underutilized dungeons to turn into raids. BFD was the least ran lowbie dungeon so they made it a raid. Gnomergan was pretty under-ran as well so it’s becoming a raid.
Name a more iconic set of dungeons then SM. Like, in what world are they going to make that a raid? Especially when its not even lvl 50 to begin with and thus NOT level appropriate.
Far more likely that Sunken Temple gets made into the lvl 50 raid, because lets be honest… NOBODY does the ST dungeon.
EDIT: Also Aggrend has been dropping cryptic hints on twitter for a bit now about how they’re planning to add more ways to level for people who did all the lvl 20-30 zones for gold in Phase 2 beyond just mob grinding or dungeon spamming.
Now I have no clue what those ways will be or if they’ll be ANY good whatsoever, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
Yeah no, they’ve since come out and said that the only thing set in stone from that was Gnomergan and that the rest of the slides were just to generate hype, since they already had Phase 1 content ready and had started working on Phase 2.
It’s still possible they make SM a raid, but since that slideshow, they’ve turned around and said they’re trying to make the most out of content that didn’t see much use in original WoW and WoW Classic.
EDIT: Basically, Blizzard themselves have said not to take those slides as the gospel anymore. Would it be cool if we got a completely new lvl 60 Karazhan Crypts raid for Phase 4? Sure, but it’s not set in stone and neither is an SM raid for lvl 50.
