I loaded the Questie addon. I log into the game and the game does not display Questie in the addon list. ALL other addons are listed (Tom Tom, DBM, etc) and they work fine. I then deleted all other addons and tried again. Now in game the addon button is gone because it is not recognizing Questie as an add on. NOTE: I have the latest version (7.1.3) of Questie that I downloaded from Curse an hour ago. It is installed correctly in directory ProgramFiles (x86)/World of Warcraft/classic/interface/addons/questie. Is Blizzard intentionally blocking it now? Has anyone else encountered this issue?
No.
Not me, but it takes a moment for Questie to update.
I just updated from v7.1.2 to v7.1.3 and for a while it wasn’t showing anything, but in the chat window it said:
Questie DB has updated! Data is being processed, this may take a few moments and cause some lag...
[1/7] Loading database...
[2/7] Applying database corrections...
[3/7] Initializing locale...
[4/7] Updating NPCs...
[Questie] The 'Brewfest' world event is active!
[5/7] Updating objects...
[6/7] Updating quests...
[7/7] Updating items...
Questie DB update complete!
And then everything displayed as you would expect.
The problem is that if you manually download Questie from anywhere it is missing several key files including the .toc file which apparently is what Blizzard uses to determine that the add on is present. The ONLY way Questie works is if you download the Curse Download app. Then it actually downloads ALL of the files. I got the answer from someone in game as I was playing.
