You may have to do a /reload but you won’t have to log out.
Azeroth Auto Pilot points you where to go and also lists the objectives and keeps track of progress on your screen, but not sure if that’s exactly what you’re looking for.
I installed Azeroth Auto Pilot, but I heard of another that may be better, was called like questie or something. might have to check it out
i saw in another thread (“things i forgot about classic wow”) and someone mentioned you can “shift+click” a quest in the quest icon and it will stay listed in ui

Questie will put locations of quest items and locations of quests themselves. Zygors is hard to get by paying for, but there are non paying versions out there if you know where to find them
