Quest - The Great Vault (no progress)

The great vault quest which is the week long quest to reward a class legendary (in this case Triune Ward) did not complete even though I got a reward from the Great Vault.
This is easy to check as I am wearing the item rewarded by the Great Vault, but DO NOT have the Triune quest.
GM told me to drop quest and retake it which I did…still no love. Please resolve.

I have the same issue blizzard could care less about helping us out and blames us for doing something incorrect. they took time to explain how quests work to me. this is a week long quest and they don’t care that its bugged nor do they care if it or they waste our time. You expect more out of a free game not even a game that charges us every month to play.

I’m having the EXACT same issue. Triune ward for me as well. I looted my pvp reward from the vault but progress for the quest didn’t update. Haven’t tried abandoning it yet but by the sounds of it, it won’t make a difference.

BLIZZ WE NEED HELP

Same issue. Can’t even open a ticket for it since it’s a quest. They just want a bug report. This leads me to believe they don’t care and will let it roll over to next week.

I think I’m more pissed that i can’t open a ticket directly for this. OP said they spoke to a GM. Well, I guess you lied in the ‘support’ window to get that far. They only consider this a bug. You can play ‘click the circular links’ until you have no choice to submit a bug report. Imagine if they actually respond to tickets like in the old days. You’d have to wait 2-3 days for a ticket, but at least you got to talk to an f’ing person and the GM would let you feel like they tried…

Now it’s Just fill out this form and send it into the interwebs with 0 response to even know that anyone is actually reading my issue or gives a crap. Not even a ‘Thanks for submitting a bug!’ type email (or in game mail).

Too bad this is such a small indy company. If it was a bigger company then maybe they’d have the funds for people to do these things… you know, setup automatic emails or have more ticketing agents. One can hope that one day WoW get more popular so there’s funds available i guess…

oh wait… a quick google search says “For the quarter ended June 30, 2020 , Activision Blizzard’s net revenues presented in accordance with GAAP were $1.93 billion”. Never mind. it’s not important enough for them to setup more ticketing agents as it is to report billions in profits. I hate so much that i love this game. I look forward to quitting.

I too am frustrated by the inability to create a ticket for this. It requires putting it under a different category called " Not listed here". I assume it’s not meant for this type of bug, but I’ve yet to see a blue post that clearly responds to this issue so it felt like the best option.

I will give Blizz the benefit of the doubt here since I have seen many Great Vault bug posts, just no blue response for this particular one. I’m hoping it’s at the top of their priority list, and in the mean time it would be very nice to get some confirmation from a blue post that acknowledges our pain.

Having the same issue. Frustrating that I won’t be able to get my legendary until next week at this rate.

Same issue here, hopefully this gets noticed and fixed.

Chiming in as well that this just happened to me. Went to the Great Vault, chose an item, the prompt even suggested I would receive the Ancient Insignia, but I did not actually get the Ancient Insignia.

I submitted a ticket through item problems rather than quest, since the report ticket flow is just a bug report when you go through quest problems (like many have mentioned so far).

This happened to my paladin, blocking her from her BIS raiding legendary for yet ANOTHER week of crucial progression

Got a frustrating reply from a GM finally which did not acknowledge the bug.

The GM is trying to tell me that I didn’t have the quest ahead of time which I know I did since I looked at it many times the previous week, seeing clearly that the triune ward was the reward for it.

I was giving Blizz the benefit of the doubt with this but my patience is wearing out. At least acknowledge that it’s a bug instead of trying to pass the blame onto the player, especially if your claim is going to be factually incorrect despite having GM powers.

EDIT:
Okay, this problem was resolved for me manually by a GM. I asked him if I should link this thread to him but he said that you will all need to open a ticket individually. Keep in mind that you have to open the ticket under a false category “Not listed” otherwise you’ll be stuck in an endless loop of unhelpful articles discouraging you from contacting Blizz.

TLDR: You can get this fixed by a GM but you have to open a ticket.

update. i dropped, then accepted the quest right before i selected my great vault gear and everything worked as intended. it appears this was a glitch that happened to some people (like me) that had the quest a week before the they obtained their reward on the first week of the great vault opening.

just wanted to say after re-reading my first comment in this thread: game has been great. devs did a wonderful job. best opening for an expansion with hardly any lag or broken quests. Just frustrated by their “support” interface. Can’t leave a bug report ticket at the start of an expansion without selecting a generic type catch-all label is bonkers…
