Quest: Survivor's Guilt shows on map but not inside Foundation Hall

Have you tried to complete these quest chains? Both the Khadgar one and the Alleria one could/can not be completed by my alt despite being completed on my main. One stops at writing the letter at the ruins of Dalaran, the other stops at Opportunity Point.

The pocket dimension with Kalecgos in it also would not progress through the quest (I was stuck in the dimension and had to portal out), but despite not finishing the questline, using the command to see if I completed it returns True.

I have a pile of characters that skipped the level-up quest, that you had to do at least once to get to level 80. The second campaign that you get when you’re level 80 doesn’t (to the best of my knowledge) have way to skip it.

All of my level 80 characters either have the 5-chapter “The War Within” in their Quest Log. That series has to be completed to allow Khadgar to appear in the chair in the foundation hall. If you go in there to do “Lingering Shadows” and haven’t completed “The War Within” yet, there will be no Khadgar.

After you complete “The War Within” with that character, you will find Khadgar sitting in his astral chair next to the table beside Alleria.

I know lots of people have been saying they skipped the campaign, but I personally have only found the questions to skip the level-up campaign. I haven’t found any way to skip “The War Within”. You can just not do “The War Within”, but that is not skipping in a way that breaks the “Survivor’s Guilt” quest, it just means you were like me and didn’t want to do all those missions again for nor reason.

Good new. Now you have a reason to do all those missions again… and again… and again…

Now off with you to actually save Khadgar so you can talk to him!

Luckily, in 11.1, there is a skip option for lingering shadows/Survivors Guilt, so you dont have to worry about doing all those “The War Within” quests on alts if you dont want to. At least this is the case on the PTR. I doesnt actually complete “The War Within” quests, so you can do them later if you want for some reason, but it will let you progress directly to the new content quests.

that’s cool and all for old content, this is new content with certain parameters. are you saying that given the new parameters that we shouldn’t expect a roll out being compatible with the new rules?

I also opened a ticket on this and hope it gets fixed

there is nothing to fix, other than showing you the quest on the map when you havent actually unlocked it yet. Finish the Max level campaign (not the level up campaign) and Khadgar will be there. Or you can wait until 11.1 for the skip.

I’ve done all those. No khadgar

On the character that you are playing, it is not warbound. Each char has to complete the max level campaign to the point where you release khadgar from the amulet if you want that char to see khadgar in dorn.

Same here. Shows on map but no one is there. Ugh…

Really dumb but it worked. Contradicts the point of war bands if you still have to do every quest on the same character

Yep. I haven’t found a case for minor side quests but going forward as far as the main story goes it is smart to have a designated character for that. Or Blizz just needs to provide more story skips earlier
