Quest reward issue

I did a world quest yesterday with a waterlogged toolbox as a reward. Before I did that quest, I opened another chest and got a waterlogged toolbox from it. When I did the world quest, the reward wouldn’t loot to me because I hadn’t opened the other toolbox. I opened it, then had to leave the area and come back to trigger the reward. The reward I got from it won’t let me open it when I click on it now.

Same issue. It let me loot the first waterlogged toolbox, but this second one, it will not allow me to open. It says “You can’t do that right now”. I am not in combat, I have even left the zone and come back.

I was just able to open it when I had tried unsuccessfully about 30 minutes ago. No clue why it worked all of a sudden.

Might be because you have a ‘Germinating Seed’ already somewhere in your bags or bank. Pretty sure it wont let you open the box because you’ll get another seed and it’s unique.

not sure why they cant just let the germinating seed stack so we can clear the toolboxes out of our inventory

Kind of lame that en epic quality lockbox contains a germinating seed. That worked for me. If you have one in your inventory, delete it. Probably should have just deleted the lockbox

I had a germinating seed and it still wouldn’t let me open it, I deleted the seed now it’s open. Guess I’ll delete the new seed too. Kinda dumb - I’ve already done the quest with the seed.

That seed is WHY you can’t open it. The Seed is unique. There is a second one inside the box.

@Blizz: A lot of high volume drops are marked as unique, anything being done so I can open the boxes in my bag and stop having my mail spammed with things like Molted Shell?
