“The Tricked-Out Thinking Cap” quest from Fangli Hoot is not showing up for me. I have completed the prerequisite quests in the “Whodunnit?” achievement and have the Tricked-Out Thinking Cap toy. When I activate the toy in front of Fangli Hoot, no quest shows up (though her spoken-to text does recognize that my character has the cap on). The toy works otherwise as expected.
I have tried logging in/out, and using other characters to see if the quest shows up for them, and it does not.
The quest seems to be bugged.
Update: The bug (if it is one) seems a bit more expansive than I thought. I’ve realized that I can see a few of the quests that are later in the quest line, but not the ones that come before them.
I am wondering if this might be because I started the quest chain during the Secrects of Azeroth event. I was talking to someone in game the other day and they were receiving all the quests for Whodunnit just fine. They had just recently started it.
Is there a way to reset all the quests in the Whodunnit quest chain for my characters so that I can start from scratch?
