Issue: There is nowhere in the game to turn the quest in. I checked all the locations where Ebyssian is. Both locations are in the Zaralek Cavern and where he is in Valdrakken.
I’m having the same problem. Turn in marker points me to Ebyssian at the top of Valdraken, but there is no marker above his head and can’t talk to him. I’ve checked with him in Loamm and also where he is outside the raid. Neither one have a turn in marker. I had already completed the post-raid questline where he becomes the new Black Aspect before I was able to run the raid in LFR. I’ve also ran the Sarkareth fight again in LFR thinking maybe the turn in was after the fight, or at the beginning of the raid. Nope. I’ve even gone back to Loamm where he was and abandoned the quest and was able to pick it up from him again there. Killed Sarkareth again, but still pointed me back to Valdraken and still not able to talk to him to turn in the quest.
I’m having the same issue. I’ve tried turning it into the Ebyssian locations mentioned on Wowhead, and also at the top of Valdrakken. None of the Ebyssian characters allow me to turn it in.
same problemo here, have looked for any solution and none work
I confirm having the same issue for the past week. Checked all locations where Ebyssian could be but cannot turn in. He sits on top of Valdrakkan as a big dragon with the turn in icon there.
Also having this problem, pretty frustrating.
Same problem here, hope a fix turns up
- Players who are trying to turn in the raid quest, “Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible: Sarkareth” but are unable to, should return to the Seat of the Aspects in Valdrakken and find Ebyssian. He should allow you to turn in the quest now.
From hotfix notes for 1/22:
Yup. Confirmed I was able to turn in now.
- SOLUTION:
Okay, I was having the same problem, but I found the issue to be mainly a confusing questline. My mistake was simply completing the raid via LFR and expecting Ebyssian to be available to turn in the quest, but he was not available. Anyhow, here’s what you need to do, at least what worked for me…
After you get the quest, queue for the “Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible” raid via LFR and kill Scalecommander Sarkareth (end boss).
Once you leave the raid, go to the top of the stairs at the Aberrus Approach and talk to either Wrathion or Sebellian (I talked to Wrathion). Tell them you are ready to enter. This will allow you to walk into the raid zone behind them solo. Once inside, run thru the first large round room and head straight to the room behind it. There’s an NPC with dialogue. You will get 3 quests (kill stuff, release prisoners, destroy tanks). Traverse the raid area with Wrathion and Sebellian, who will help you fight; the fights are pretty easy. Once that’s done, turn in the quests and you’ll get a quest called “Into the Dark.” Continue travelling the corridor (it’s a single path basically). You eventually ride a drake to a location, then jump down thru the Edge of Oblivion portal. Once out of the pool you land in, continue thru to large door to the room where you killed Sarkareth during the LFR. Once here, you’ll resolve the remaining quests and get a cinematic. After that’s done, Ebyssian should create a portal to return to Valdrakken. Once there, more talk and quest completion will lead to finally being able to turn in the final quest with Ebyssian.
Hopefully this helps.
