Quest limit still 25?

6 expansions later the limit is still the same as it was 16 years ago. Really?

Edited because Vanilla started with 20 quests and was upped by 5 in TBC.

15 years …

And yeah, what’s the need for more than 25? I’ve kept the “CLUCK!” quest (no longer in game) in my log for well over a decade. It’s never impeded me in any way shape or form.

You cant complete 25 quest and want more ? what about finish those quest and take more ? .

Is not that hard .

Shouldn’t you finish your quests before acquiring new ones?

Why’re you holding onto gray quests for so long?

Well, aside from people keeping quests the can’t obtain anymore and those that take a long time to complete (eg. the garrison PvP quests), some of us have the focus of a coked-out jackrabbit. Keeping quests in our logs helps point to where we need to go when we decide to go back to a particular area. When you take that and combine it with the fact that they’ve decided to go back to hubs filled with dailies it can get cramped. If I want to be able to do Mechagon/Naz on a whim, I basically need to keep half my quest log open at any given time, which can be frustrating.

Apparently no one here knows the pain of working through old content. Having legendary quests, working on Class Halls, plus current content progression quests. AQ quests to get your tier set alone is like 10 quests at the same time while doing multiple lockouts to get the mats.

Yes, 25 is not enough for those that are doing multiple things at once. I don’t get why people revel in denying others things that don’t affect them.

25 quest limit in a game as enormous as World of Warcraft is a joke.

I have 0 issues with them increasing the quest limit, because it seems kind arbitrary anyway, but honestly if you constantly have 25 quests and are trying to pick up more, you need to just go freaking finish something that you start instead of hopscotching around before getting anything done, ya’ damn Goldfish. Long-Term quests only take up so many slots, and only temporarily.

Quest limit is 20.

edit: googled it, BC made it 25

I hit the cap on one of my AR alts just simply opening up all the max level content.
Had quests for new ranks of gathering skills, Nazjatar intro and unlocking content gives you a ton of quests.
Also have quests for doing the other parts of the war campaign and a few other things.
I don’t even wanna think about the nightmare of opening up Mechagon on a fresh 120.

Once you get past the intro of a zone it’s not much of an issue, but initially you get slammed with quests.

Some people collect mounts, others collect quests I guess.

Working on class campaign atm, that alone takes 5+ slots at times, some of which cant be completed at my own pace because of time gates. Same goes for current content, the Naz’jatar bodyguard quests can be there for weeks taking a slot, the EP quest for gather 200 useless items, the weekly events (win x arenas, kill x players in y zone, etc.), that leaves you with ~10 slots which fill up immediatley upon reaching Naz’jatar with dailies.

25 is not enough, if they could at least make dailies not count against the limit.

There’s some quests that give you a cool item that you could use elsewhere

I think hiru made some vids on it

How hard is it to increase the quest limit with a game that has more than 15000 quests.

Even if we cut it in 1/2 …7500 quests and you have a 25 limit. Let me see we have WoD garrison, the tillers farm, profession progression stuck behind quests, from the previous expansions no less. Class mount quests, and current content. There are enough quests that are stuck behind a timer also.

I never said anything about it being hard. Some of you are extremely touchy.

“How dare this person question the reason why Blizzard only has a 25 quest limit BLASPHEMY!!”

I am not sure how it would hurt anything.

I could see them adding different categories that don’t take up the 25 slots.

I.E. weekly quests, gated quests, etc.

It’s silly that THOSE types of quests count against the 25 as you can’t drop them without penalty.

Or 25 quests per expansion

Oc doesnt hurt anyone but why rush everything in this case ? imagine if you have to do 3000 quest and you finish them all at the same time ? . then what ? come to the forums and rage about nothing to do even in old content ?.

I think theres a 25 quest cap so you have something to do and not end everything at the same time.

… I think it used to be only 10 quests originally.

Hmm… still think it started at only 10 quests, though it is possible they upped it to 20 before TBC came out. Either that or they upped it for Classic only to keep people kinda-sorta sane.

I am wrong on that, Vanilla WoW started at 20 and went to 25 with TBC.

I have to say I’m kind of surprised people are against raising the quest limit.

Does it affect you somehow if we could hold 50 quests?

Rush has nothig to do with it.

I had held on to 2 boots from prior expansions. One was for 100 and the other for 110. However the level 100 boost switched to a 110 for some unknown reason.

Why do they sell boosts? So you can get right into the game and play with friends blah blah blah.

I have not played in 2 years. I leveled a shammy first, to 120. I did not run into the problem that much at all.

However with a boosted character it’s a bloody mess.
