I’ve asked a few friends and I’ve tried disabling all my addons, reloading and relogging, but this problem seems to keep happening.
When I open my map, sometimes there are no world quests for up to 10-15 seconds. Sometimes they appear on their own, sometimes I have to reopen the map a few times.
This is also happening when I talk to NPCs to pick up or turn in quests. The NPC will become unresponsive, and I have to run out of interact range. Sometimes the quest window will just random pop up 10-15 seconds later.
This is only happening with quests. My game isn’t lagging. My internet is fine. Combat is normal. Loading screens to new zones are normal. I tried disabling all addons, problem persists. I just want to feel like I’m not crazy and hope that it’s fixable some how. The delay is long enough that it’s annoying and unfun.

I want to bump this thread, as I have the exact same thing happening to me. The WQ thing isn’t even so bad, but daily quests specifically are weirdly laggy, everything from the Soiree NPCs to turning in Prey hunts, to Naigtal/Val dailies. Very annoying, especially when you have multiple to turn in. -_-

Can confirm the same issues with both weekly quests and world quests. Incredibly frustrating and it’s persisted for weeks now.

There is still an issue with this. WQ either not popping up on the map or flickering in and out of existence. Quest NPCs taking a really long time to open up a dialogue window, sometimes having to click on and off of them or run away and run back a few times until they do. It’s also not just their first dialogue window either, the rewards window does the same thing too.

I thought I was losing my mind for weeks cuz I didnt see anybody else reporting this. Its been driving me crazy. I constantly look at my map and WQs are always disappearing. Quest lag has been worse today.
Im assuming it wont be fixed until the patch next week but its ridiculous its been going on this long already.

This is happening to me as well (for several weeks). The quest window not loading is particularly annoying and I don’t see a way around it.

Same issue for me, thought it was an addon issue at first or some settings, turns out game is broken and this one is damn annoying.

It’s happening to me everywhere, randomly. Some times it works fine, other times it does not. One thing I did also notice is that sometimes the world quests do not always show up on the map, I think that might possibly be part of it too.
I just tested now and when I logged to an alt, no world quests and the quests would not accept or show up. After the world quests loaded it started working fine.

Man, I thought it was just me. I’ve been trying all sorts of things, disabling addons, clearing the cache, etc. Was really hoping that 12.1 would fix it. Apparently not.

The same thing has been happening to me and my wife. So add another 2 people to the list… I’ve cleared cache, disabled addons, no joy….problem still persists. It’s intermittent, but annoying!

This is still happening. Im so sick of waiting 10-15 seconds everytime i check my map or turn in a quest. Fix it!

I have the same issue; I go to a quest giver and try to right click to get the dialog box opened and there is about 20 seconds lag. Sometimes if I spam it then it’ll open but it’s probably just the lag in timing rather than my spamming. Sometimes I walk away and come back to the guy and it’ll open but it’s still prob just lag. Takes forever to accept quests or turn them in.

Another bump on this, should add that this lag also includes the completing of World Quests (any popups when you finish one) and how World Quest Rewards are loaded (sometimes no reward or a ? for just as long as an NPC questgiver would be delayed).
