The bodyguard quest “Gather Friends” has me phased out and unable to see any of the creatures needed for it. I got to 6/8 progress and then went to do a WQ nearby and have since been phased and unable to finish the quest. I’ve tried joining a part with a friend, relogging, leaving zone and coming back, and reloading UI and none of this has worked. Please if anyone has a fix let me know.

Same here i got 7/8 done but the quest went away and i cant complete it

This happened to me. Cancelling the quest and picking it up again will cause the creatures to phase back in.

Happened to me as well, also at 7/8
Happens to me every time I hit 7 of 8. I can actually drop the quest in front of where the crabs spawn, and a half dozen will spawn in once I’ve abandoned it. Getting it again and trying again has the same result at 7 of 8.

Different problem, I can get 8/8 but then I can’t turn the quest in.

Think I know the reason why, your only allowed interaction with 8 of them, then they phase out, so if you kill or attack one, that counts. I killed 3 not looking what i was meant to do with first then got stuck 5/8, but quickly restarting quest fixed the issue.

Still bugged as of 7/22/19. Had to abandon and re-acquire. Was stuck at 7/8. There are 2 other threads on this quest about the issue.

8/27/19 Still Bugged. Got to 7/8. Someone captured the first one that I tried to as my net was in the air so it didn’t count. Seems like peoples theory about interacting with 8 (killing/not really capturing) is the cause.
