Hello, I’m new’ish to Rogues; though I’ve played the game for well over a decade. I’m currently on the quest “Flush them out”. I have to kill 4 non-elite mobs which are my own level (50). They cannot be sapped. I can’t even kill 1 of them before they wipe the floor with me. My Item Level is 48. I only really do PVE, so I’ve got what gear has dropped. I don’t usually do random dungeons as they take too long to get into.
In fact when fighting any mob my own level I find if I blow all my cooldowns I generally don’t come out of the fight with better than 80% health.
If I were on my pally I could easily take 6 or 7 mobs my own level and finish the fight with better than 85% health. Even my mage would find this quest trivial.
Suggestions for skill rotation on the fight?

That specific quest was broken due to level scaling/squishing. I would advise just skipping it and moving on.
In terms of the rest of it, Rogue doesn’t have self-sustain other than the Leeching Poison talent and Crimson Vial. So when you are against mobs of equal level and your iLvl is low-ish for your level, a lot of the damage you take “sticks”. Being liberal with Evasion and Cloak of Shadows is pretty key when leveling. As well as not being afraid to just buy and eat some food between pulls.
As a Rogue gets better gear, their damage goes up extremely well and you can start pulling more and more. As an example, when you first hit level 60 the mobs in The Maw are going to hurt a lot and you can’t solo elites. But once you get around iLvl 220 and above, you can easily pull 5+ regular mobs and can kill elites in no time as a Rogue.
