Quest bugged: "If the Shoe Fits"

Its rather disappointing that a quest for a new professions items is bugged. For me (and many others who were there at the same time) the last boss of the quest chain was in an Avoidance state and unattackable.

The only way to fix it was to go into a different phase. In my case I did the following:

  1. Dropped the quest
  2. Flew to Dalaran and ported to Stormwind
  3. Turned on warmode
  4. Ported back to Dalaran and flew back to the quest holder
  5. Retook the quest

At which point the npc was attackable. It is ridiculous in this day and age to have to go through this rigmarole to complete a quest.

This is indeed what I had to do also for the same issue. It did work, but it should also work without having to into warmode.

We can only hope that its one of the things they are fixing in the extra long upcoming maintenance. :man_shrugging:

I’m having the same problem with the quest - its been a week since 8.1.5 dropped :(.

Unfortunately this did not work for me. :frowning: anybody find a different work around?

The only other option mentioned was to find a premade group thats phased differently to you - probably based on a different server, and do it while you are in that phase.

its also so STUPID you cant get a reply from blizzard on weekends. they should ATLEAST have some ppl working since most ppl play this on weekends. idiots

I am trying to do this quest. It is totally bugged. I went to Stormwind turned on Warmode came back still can’t attack.

This is still bugged. Even when I switched to war mode it did’t fix it for me. Nice job Blizz! also really nice that there is no response from you guys on this issue.

Turning on warmode, server hopping, logging out, logging in another toon, logging back, doing the world quests in suramar in the same area… nothing worked.

Finally helped when I went to go do some other quests (the inscription line, in particular) and suddenly it worked. Hope this helps!

War mode worked for me but still a silly bug and seemingly not working for everyone.

Still bugged, tried the ‘work arounds’ nothing worked. Hope it’s fixed soon as need my new thread!

I got a reply, but they basically said sorry it doesn’t work - we’re working on it and no I can’t complete it for you and here’s a wowhead link.

Ya outsourcing to WoWhead go figure. Crap company with crap service. Activision strikes again. And ofc the GM couldnt fix it they want you to keep playing longer and if a bug is causing that so be it.
