Quest Bug "Memory of Honor"

I am unable to find the starting point or quest for “Memory of Honor”, part of the Champion of Pain storyline. I can’t progress after this point. Already checked WowHead and I’m in the correct zone and location; however, the NPC doesn’t give me the quest to start it. According to WoWhead, I have not completed the mission “Memory of Honor” in the chain.

I have tried following your recommended steps in trying to resolve the issue:

  • Re-logging or zoning to different area did not resolve it. The quest still did not become available.
  • I am unable to abandon the quest as the quest is not available for me to start.
  • There are no related issues in the battle.net support page for any mentions of “Memory of Honor”
  • I have checked various fansites such as WoWHead and wikipedia to see if there are any resolutions, but to available.
  • I have disabled all my addons and re-logged and re-zone to the area and reload my UI. Issue was not resolved.
  • I have checked WoWhead’s quest tracker tool and shows that I have not completed that quest.

Hey, did you ever find a solution? I’m in this same spot. I can’t progress in the cmpaign at all

My guildie had the same issue. He ran around to the stones for the hell of it when he got to the small stone under the “P” in “Theater of Pain” on the map he was able to interact and the quest popped up. There was no exclamation mark or indication of the quest other than the stone being interactable.

I may have found the fix. I was running into the same issue, but after skinning this Mushroom like object for some reason, I was now able to interact with the quest at the totem. - So weird. I remember seeing it last night as well but didn’t think twice about it. So i skinned it and now i can complete the quest. See screenshot of where I saw the mushroom. Wish i took a screenshot before skinning it. Hope this helps - nevermind. can’t include screenshot. Here are the coordinates: 47.53, 59.06

So I went to look for this stone mention to be under the P in “Theater of Pain”, and was able to find it. Then it dawn on me that this was my second character to get in the shadowland and was lv 60 and didn’t think it would considered a trivial quest. So I turn on tracking “Trivial Quests” then it just popped up.

Can confirm what Bronta said, turning on Trivial quest tracking will show you the exclamation point for the quest. What a pain in the butt trying to figure out what I was supposed to do next in this questline. Thankfully I found this post

hey guys i was having the same problem. and it does have to do with the trivial quests being tracked. but with dragonflight its a little hidden…open the world map then on the top right side theirs the map pin, and next to that is the button that if you clk it it will give you the options for tracking like when you clked on the mag. glass on the mini map…or its just i didnt notice it till now…lol good luck hope a newbe like me will benifit from this. peace

Thanks to a GM i found this thread and i can keep doing the story. Thank you both. So, its a stone the one who gives the quest to you now, not Baroness Draka.
I think it would be better if Blizzard change the quest to “not trivial” and make the stone a bit bigger, that will make it easy to see and take, because you need to do this quest to continue with the main campaign.
