So yesterday there was a point where the server connection was a bit spotty and a number of friends and I across the US experienced weird things.
For me this happened as I was doing the Ardenweald quest “Know Where to Strike” where they teach you how to send covenant companions out on adventures. The adventure I was trying to send them on apparently went through but the game soon after was unresponsive.
I decided to attempt to close the game and log back in but when I tried logging back in the game said something along the lines of “there is already a character with that name.” I waited for my character to time out and be logged out of the server while I was away and then was able to get back in.
By this point, I could see that the adventure had still gone through but my quest progress had not. No matter how many adventures I send them on, the quest refuses to complete despite others telling me it was working fine for them. I have also tried abandoning and restarting the quest to no avail.
I’d love to be able to complete this quest sometime if it weren’t bugged and impossible to complete like it is now.

I had the same exact issue with this today. Nothing seems to help.

The EXACT same thing happened to me. I was in the middle of trying to do the tutorial quest, game froze up. When I tried to log back in I got the same error. Now when I try to do Know Where to Strike it’s bugged and I can’t progress at all. I’ve abandoned the quest multiple times, disabled add ons, reloaded UI. Nothing works. This blows

Same issue. I have dropped the quest 2 times now and have completed several missions…still bugged and cant turn in.

I’ve experienced the same issue. Attempted all recommended GM fixes from their automated response.
- did tutorial mission for quest and did not receive quest completion
- real missions are offered now but completing those does not progress the quest
- abandoning and retaking the quest does not cause the mission table to stop offering real missions
The games mission table seems to think the quest is done but Vesperbloom the naughty little sprite that they are doesn’t seem to agree.

I have experienced the same issue. Before submitting a ticket tried all of the GM tips as I’m used to their Tech Support 101. Nothing has worked. Videos online show credit being received on this quest from the very first adventure. My followers are now level 7 doing Campaign adventures and no credit. Sigh.

Yep, I’ve been having the same issue. Was wondering what I was doing wrong, but realized it had to just be a bug.

I am also having the same problem. I picked up the quest “Know where to Strike” and started a mission but received no credit, I’ve sent my crew out for 3 missions now and the quest will not update.
Same issue. Responded to my ticket after they set me the basic stuff to do, saying none of it worked and waiting on response.

Same issue here!!! Does anyone know if not completing the quest effects you from getting covenant Gear? Because I’m still unable to get any despite finishing 2 chapters of campaign
Considering all the quest is according to the video is you opening the mission board, its annoying we cant progress it, I’m curious, for everyone having this issue did you happen to have your companion from Torghast already as well as your soulbind?

Same issue here, also had a similar issue with the “character with that name” message. Dropping the quest doesn’t fix. HALP
I have also completed multiple adventures but no quest credit.
Same issue, but now that we’ve gotten into a new week I can’t even get new adventurers. It’s extremely frustrating.
This self resolved for me once I hit renown level 4. I dropped the quest (again) and picked it up and could turn it in finally. It allowed me to get my 3rd companion.
