Upon completion of this quest, players are being dropped to their deaths when the ship blows up. You hop on the gryphon, Falstad Wildhammer says his thing, then suddenly you’re falling from the sky to splat on the ground. Fun!
I’m getting this bug as well, and posted screenshots in both my forum post here and in the GD, here:
Finish all my Drustvar assault quests. All neat. All is working fine.
Then I go to get on the gryphon, and it drops me on the boat… that isn’t there.
I fall onto the cliffs and too my death.

Someone said “These quests are painstakingly tested… by us.”
And that seems to be the case.
Did anyone test this crud before it was released?
it’s not like Blizz is releasing a lot of content lately, you’d think what they DO release would work pretty freaking well, but with every assault people always find a few bugs. For the Nazmir one the first time around the submarines could swim through the earth and hit horde players that were on land.
What the heck is going on at Blizz headquarters to make them think this is okay?

And, for the record, I’ve relogged, that didn’t work.
Got on the gryphon two more times, that didn’t work.
The only reason I’m still playing this buggy, piece of garbage expansion is to get the stupid 750 7th Legion Service Medals to get the pretty cat mount, and they can’t even get that right for me.

I can’t even get to the ship. I mount the gryph in town, I fly and see a battle raging in the sky on an invisible airship, and then my gryph poofs and I fall to my death. #betaforazeroth

this is happening to me now 19 days later…is there any way to fix it?

I had to delete my mods in order to see the ship again.

Well, five months later, still happening. I’ve fallen to my death twice now and can’t even get onto the ship. Watching others also falling from the sky as well.
…
Deleting my WoW cache folder fixed it. The ship spawned in and could then finish the quest.

This quest still seems bugged as i just did and and…splat…
