I picked up this quest and took ti portal to Torghast. I entered wah of the 4 chambers and checked the map. The map in the quest does not match any of the 8 chambers, IT IS SAFE TO ASSUME that that quest cannot be worked on in Torghast. can anyone tell me where it is actually supposed top get done?
Soul Ash (the currency you need for the quest) is one of the main rewards from Torghast runs. These are randomly generated so it is not possible to give a precise map. Each time you do a Torghast run to completion you will earn some Soul Ash at the end, the amount based on the difficulty of the run.
Well I went back and went through the first two chamber. I spent about 2 hours running themand was able to complete a drop quest but after being killed about 25 times I had accumulated aproximately 0, zip, nada of the 1250 that I need. I WAS ABLE TO pick up 8 of the 20 souls that I need for Return Lost souls. I NEVER SAW any soul ash. I have no idea of whether or not I ever completed a Torghast run. I don’t know how a player would know if they had. I know that I did repeat some of the 8 sections (some a few times) If it is like Stygia that might explain it. every time you die in the Maw you lose some of your Stygia I generaly get killed 10 to 15 times per hour.

You can reclaim the lost Stygia if you go back and loot your dead body in the Maw.
You get Soul Ash from the end boss in a Torghast run. A Torghast run consists of 5 floors, first two with mobs, a third one with just a vendor and some souls, a fourth with more mobs, then a fifth with just a vendor and the final boss.
The way a player would know how Torghast works is through the introductory Torghast quests as you level your first character up from 50 to 60, and then again at the start of your covenant campaign upon reaching 60.

I went back and spent several more hours there and was able to rescue 9 more souls but still have no soul dust at all.
I will go back and spen a few hours there again tomorrow in the hope of completing the 20 souls quest.
