QUERY:So is the Nathrezin homeworld a hoax?

COMMENTARY: Illidan whole plot was focused around getting to Nathreza to get plans that would end the legion once and for all … is this explained in shadowlands at all? Was it all a hoax… did Nathreza not hold any information about the Dreadlords true intentions/ goals?

STATEMENT: Was Illidan life goal really nothing but a hoax…?

Have you’ve heard of a concept called colonization?

ANSWER: I mean the planet itself existed within the Twisting Nether… so they went to the cosmic realm of fel, killed the orginal inhabitants of this planet and replaced them… would be cool to know if some of them escaped and were building a force to retake their planet

Fel is one of them if not the dominant force, many different realities blends into the Twisted Nether; for it’s a realm of infinite Chaos.

In one of the books, didn’t Illidan actually GO there? I think in the book they released just before Legion. Was it called Illidan?

I wondered about this as well, and I wondered if they just retconned an entire novel.

His goal was to end the Legion.
The Legion was pointless.

So yes. As with every other Legion related character, that includes
Archimonde
KJ
Sarg

Depends what you mean by “hoax”.

Nathreza was a major base of operations for the Nathrezim in the material plane. It is doubtful that they had any material that betrayed their true intentions, but given their war against the other cosmics forces (Light, Life, Void, and Order) furthered their true goal while also being part of their cover… yes I would anticipate the fabled Libraries of Nathreza actually existed and held untold secrets of the cosmos and how to undermine the other forces.

He blew the planet up the same way outland was destroyed.

We will never know considering illidan got the seal of argus I believe it was called and then destroyed nathreza

Who knows, maybe chunks of the planet are flying around in space and nestled on a semi-stable chunk one of the libraries is still intact and swarming with Nathrezim Agents.

(This is literally a concept for a mega-dungeon that has been bouncing in my head after it was confirmed Sire Denatharius is still alive).

Wait nathreza blew up? Portal keeper hasabel sends us there during her fight. Did she send us into an explosion? Are WE explosions now?

I could dig it

It exploded…??? Illidan is Planetary???

Imploded maybe? All I know in the book it says he rapidly closed the portal like what happened in outland and the energies cause the planet to yeah whatever explode implode idk lol what is left who knows

I wouldn’t completely rule out the nathrezim turning around some day and saying “Oh no, we only let those fools in Ravendreth think they made us! We’re much older than the Shadowlands!”

We know that the planet must be there because the portal boss in Legion opens a portal to there.

BUT we know that it wasn’t their homeworld because of the Danuser Retcons.

So, we then are left with a planet that they must have built an entire ancient civilization on, with enough infrastructure and ancient buildings, technology, and cities to fool an actual titan that they are the native ancient species of that planet.

So if you think about it for a bit it kind of falls apart, for a whole slew of reasons: Time, resources, population numbers, etc.

Especially because they so casually abandoned their entire multimillion year con game so they could impersonate and replace a dredger this one time in 9.1…

That was a different story. Umm… you must be thinking of that other game… World of Yorecraft.

The Nathrezim were “banished” to Nathreza by Denathrius after the Light’s attack on Revendreth.

Illidan by imploding his big Portal to Nathreza did the same thing to it what Ner’zhul did to Draenor.

Just so you know: all the Portals that Ner’zhul opened were centered around the Continent of Draenor and it survived despite being pulled to the very edge of the Great Dark Beyond right on top of the Twisting Nether(with Netherstorm outright having the Nether bleed into it).
