as much as i like high elves i think is time to move on and make void elves take the place high elves had into the alliance. widening the rendorei meaning to fit voidcorrupted and uncorrupted elves into the rendorei banner (not corrupting high elves) separated but equals.

If they want them all to be under the same banner, they should just use “High Elf” as the overall name. Especially if not every original High Elf is going to be doing Void Stuff. It seems odd to have them all be “Void Elf/Ren’dorei” if they’re not all using the Void. Either that or give them a new overall name that includes all Alliance Thalassian Elves. Original High Elves, Void Elves & those in between.

but that ship have sailed, void elf is what we have, and the “race” will keep doing void things as their main theme is the void, what they can do is putting the remaining high elves in the alliance as allies of void elves to add some flavor to the race.
just like some broken are with the draeneis and some highborne are with the kaldorei and are used here and there whenever blizzard wants

“Void things,” huh? Well, everything mages can do but purple instead of blue seems like that’s all that amounts to.
I’m not against just having High Elves and Void Elves use the name ‘Ren’dorei,’ as their moniker as a people and separation from Quel’Thalas and the Sunwell. The Silver Covenant seems brutal enough that the power of the Void might be alluring, and when Alleria is your poster child for the Void, I think most High Elves would be willing to get over their initial knee-jerk reaction of, “Ewww, no,” and give it a second thought.
What makes you think it has sailed? Look, the high elves still exist and if Blizzard ever decides to they can make them playable. Hell, my ideal version is simply going a quest route(a la night elf) and giving the option to customized themselves as high elves or void elves at will.

i’m just being realistic, blizzard won’t change the name of the race and won’t add high elves neither, putting some high elves into the void elves and give them some quests and names is the only thing i see blizzard doing asking more than that is just dreaming
Ehh… predicting Blizzard isn’t really possible these days. That said, I agree with you, the likelihood of either Void Elves getting renamed and changed, or another Allied Race slot being used to add High Elves, is virtually non-existent.
It might be feasible that we eventually see Blizzard re-organize Allied Races into categories with core races, so that one could create a Dwarf, use the Dark Iron customizations, and choose Dark Iron for their racial tooltip, or perhaps the tattoos and use Wildhammer. By that logic perhaps High Elves might get added someday. That’s the only way I can see it ever happening, realistically speaking.
Not unless someone high up at Microsoft is a big High Elf and Alliance fan and has the power to make major decisions like adding races.

To be fair, they’ve been doing a lot of things people thought they’d never do in the last decade. Even as far as destroying two racial cities. I would say that’s one of the most simple fixes to the problem.
Even their heritage armor can still fit the High Elf look. Not long ago i saw some pretty cool recolors of it that were the same Blue that the Silver Covenant tabard uses & Green like Alleria’s armor. I thought it really fit the High Elf look good while just being a recolor.

Ehhh… I’ll be honest, Void Elf heritage armor doesn’t even seem to fit Void Elves themselves. Looks like they just ripped that stuff off of the corpse of some Dreadlords they found in the Telogrus Rift.

Even though i like it, i feel it could be better. I’ve always wanted to see a “robe” version of it. Maybe something that could kind of give off the vibe of Kael’thas armor.
Honestly, i think every race’s heritage armor should have a “robe” version and a breastplate version. Similar to how the Blood Elf heritage armor works.

Except that the Ren’dorei are NOT former High Elves. They are former Blood Elves who got themselves exiled after playing with forbidden magick.

Haven’t they basically already done that with the Velf customizations? You don’t really hear people asking for playable Helves much anymore.

Have you checked general recently?
Did I ever say anything to the effect that our currently, playable Void Elves come from High Elves at all, and not Blood Elves, though?
I was speaking to the hypothetical story of the High Elves in the Alliance deciding to rename themselves, ‘Void Elves,’ as a political gesture, with some groups showing an active interest in studying the same techniques Alleria has mastered.
