I’m in the N’Zoth part of the story-line, and I feel like I’m in the that pre-expansion release holding pattern. Yet, I have not seen the story of Queen Azshara come up. I’ve heard she’s dead, so players are encountering her. I also haven’t been prompted by the game to get over to Mechagon either. When do these show up, and how do ya get started?
Queen Azhara shows up in the…3rd act of BfA, just before N’zoth. To get to that point however, I believe you need to do a questline that begins on your factions boat in Zandalar or Kul Tiras. Should be a quest that drops you into Naz’jatar.
Later in the Naz’jatar campaign you’ll encounter goblins telling you to join gazlowe.
I didn’t see any quest, but Imma sure go and look harder. At the end of the War Campaign Thrall said “Now we turn our attention to N’Zoth,” so that’s what I did. I’ve been out to Nazjatar many times but nothing about Queen Azshara. Thx for the heads-up.
She introduces you to the zone after you arrive in a short cutscene, and throughout the Nazjatar storyline she pops up several times.
She’s also in the N’Zoth raid.
I’ve seen the cutscene with the Tidestone that Queen Azshara creates Nazjatar with but no more. I have seen no quests for a quest-line concerning her either. I swear to God this is the most frustrating and confusing expansion that I’ve ever seen Blizzard come up with (in 10yrs). I’m not sure what this Nazjatar story-line is. After the intro quests there’s just blue quests and world quests.
The questlines are rep-locked. You need to work through your reputation with your Nazjatar faction in order to access more of it. When it was current content it happened more organically than I imagine it would now seeing there’s not much incentive to do the world quests outside of the rep rewards.
Side-note, Nazjatar was always.
Ty so very much. That helps a lot!
The issue is that the main storyline of Stormsong Valley (the corrupted tide priests etc) is meant to be the lead in to Nazjatar. However it is alliance only. Crucible of Storms is also a lead in. Where we “prove” yourselves “worthy” to N’zoth. CoS is a continuation of the tide priest stuff, but for some reason, horde gets the canonical clear (since they get the dagger formally known as Xal’atah from Uu’nat’s corpse). So it is basically the reverse of the problem with Uldir. Horde get tons of stuff leading into Uldir, while Alliance gets nothing. Likewise Alliance gets tons of stuff leading to Nazjatar and the Eternal Palace, while horde get nothing.
In fact your horde character was meant to die because it was a threat to Sylvanas (regardless if you chose to be loyal to her or not. Honestly that is another can of worms for another day).
As for the rest of Nazjatar, just keep doing quests.
Wow there’s a lot more lore here than I thought. Thank you for your effort to answer me so clearly. On to the quest grind now.
