Queen Azhara

Can queen Azhara transform her person into a night elf just like a dragon? Or is she always a naga?

We have seen a few times that Queen Azshara can use her arcane magic to transform herself back into a Night Elf at will. She can likely do it for her fellow naga as well.

Wonder if its just an illusion or an actual transformation?

Actual transformation? Or are we talking about image projection? Would love a source on this.

I’ve only ever seen her in Night Elf form as a projection or illusion.

Well, aside from that one dungeon set in the past.

I wouldn’t be surprised if she could change back into a night elf. She is an extremely powerful mage, but I don’t think she would want to. She is very vain, and judging by all the statues of herself quite proud of her current form.

We see Azshara in her Night Elf form in Azsuna, she shows up to taunt Farondis. Whether that was an illusion, projection, or whatever I don’t know. I think that was actually her and she was in her Night Elf form, it wasn’t a projection, but it still could have been an illusion. (What are you hiding?)

What if, when N’zoth dies, all the naga return to Elfies?

Pros: Night Elves are no longer endangered.
Cons: They are highborne -_-

Pros: Azsahra is cool
More pros: Tyrande and Azshara cat fight

Assuming Azshara is still going to be a thing post 8.3.

Doubtful,

More like an illusion projection,

She and her Naga were heavily mutated far beyond in which reverting back to your normal self is near to impossible. The Old Gods corrupted much of the mortal races and once the effect has taken place it cannot be reversible.

Aszhara vain appearance as a night was long gone, but her ego and narcissism of power has but grown more.

I feel like if they don’t wrap up her story with imprisonment at the very least it’s going to be a bit of a plot hole letting her run rampant around Azeroth while we’re doing who knows what in the Shadowlands. This is the first time in thousands of years she’s not working for Nzoth and to give her free reign to pursue her own agenda would be a mistake.

Id imagine she is powerful enough to change her form at will. She would likly view herself as the fairest in whatever form she took. Which is really all that matters to her.

This is an intersting idea, but at this point i would think that many of the present naga were born as naga and arnt of that original batch of night elves that got nagafied.

Wouldnt they in all liklyhood be underwater as well and drown?

I donno. I like the idea of naga returning (or just turning) to night elves and trying to reintegrate with the remaining night elf population. It would be interesting to see how tyrande and mal would handle that one, especially if azshara was among them.

They wernt endangered in the first place.

A good war pg 78
“The cathedral could hold no more refugees, not even in the darkest corners of its extensive catacombs. The inns had ten to fifteen in each room. Even certain areas of the keep were filled with silent, stoic kaldorei. The flood spread to seemingly every surface of the city, continued down through the Valley of Heroes, and spilled out most of the way to Goldshire”

With how big stormwind is, and the distance to gold shire (in game representations are significantly smaller for all locations mentioned of course) would mean tens of thousands could, and likely did get evacuated.

This doesnt even include the army that had been sent south to silithis that was on there way back.

These numbers are more than healthy to keep a breeding population.
