Queen Ansurek, Wrest, and Death's Advance

When, during the first intermission of the raid boss Queen Ansurek, the threads go out to pull you in. How long are they out for?

I know you can use Death’s Advance to stop the pull, but can you hit it as soon as you see the threads go out? Or do you have to time it to the finish of the cast more closely than that?

I think on heroic its a 4 or 5 second cast, and I think Deaths Advance is 10 seconds. So there’s leeway. Wraith Walk is also helpful since Deaths Advance only has 2 charges.
