I am pretty sure it is bugged. I got the first piece in a mawsworn cache, but the other three are nowhere to be found. I have gone through 3 necrolord assaults already.
I have never seen any spawning on the ground. I have the swagsnout gromit out but still no luck. I stayed at the spawn point for a long time but it never appeared. The maw mad construct also never spawned. I have waited at its spawn spot for two hours but it never came. I paid attention to the chat channel and never saw it yelling. And lastly, I have opened more than 50 mawsworn caches but still no quest item to gimme the “Clear the wall” quest.
I have googled multiple guides and tried everything and done everything correctly. I highly doubt the quests/items/npcs are functioning correctly for these ring pieces. Please fix this.
The issue is that unless the quest Putting a Plan together is up, you cannot get the other pieces/the stuff doesn’t spawn. As of today; this quest has only spawned during the very first Necro assault effectively making getting the ring for the mount impossible til said quest shows up again. So technically what your describing is working as intended, however; Blizzard should have made the quests less rng.
Well, yes and no. Many things make it into the game in ways which aren’t “intended”. Such as the saronite bombs on lich king or the unstacked exp potions. Blizzard only seems to “fix” these things when they are somehow negatively impacted by them. Having one part tied to one quest seems like it could be “working as intended” and if so, there needs to be a mechanism for players to trigger a sister quest that does the same thing if they have the first part of the ring. However for 3 of the 4 parts to be unobtainable due to the lack of the presence of a single quest? no, that most certainly sounds like an error on Blizzard’s part more than working as intended.
Heck, even the pet parts on the ground seem to be missing this time.
thats just it im with op i cant find the 3 others i have been up and down the maw area with the minion out i cant find any more rings i have looked every time the assaults up a little insight from a gm would be nice
As the rest of the thread has already stated, there’s a quest requirement. If that quest isn’t up (and it’s only been up once), you won’t be able to progress.
As much as I would like to rant about Blz decision to make obtaining the ring such a pain in the a**, this actually brings some peace to my mind. I guess that quest will become available sooner or later, so I will just patiently wait with 5 bag slots occupied by 4.25 rings.
And yes, Blz should totally fix this or at least give some kind of explanation by now. It is not logical to tie the ring items to a quest that may or may not show once every month.
