Quantum Armor Mogs Level Capped?

I was going Dawn of the Infinite to get the few missing weapon mogs from that dungeon and I got a quantum shoulder. The Quantum Shoulder provides you with a mog from the past. I repeat, a MOG from the past. So why in the world is it level capped at 70? I mean I could always just make a new toon and transfer it over. It’s warbound. So like what’s the point? It’s not like it’s giving you current armor.

Dragonflight’s level cap was 70, ere go the armor piece was 70.

But it doesn’t give you an armor piece. It just disappears and unlocks a mog. And it’s already coded to be from before dragonflight.

It’s a cosmetic.

Unfortunately, this is what you’re going to have to do if you don’t have alts. :frowning:

And yes, it’s dumb.

Damn I was hoping I could come here and have someone make it make sense.

Pretty sure you also can’t use it unless you’re 70 (maybe 69 as well) so unless the character you transfer to is at that level, still won’t work.
Oh and when you get an armor piece, it’ll make the mog of the armor class of the character you used it on.
Weapons and whatnot you can get things your character can’t use, but the armor will be specifically something that character can wear. I’ve only done DotI a handful of times so not sure if you ever actually get all the armor appearances for say leather if using an armor piece on a Monk will start awarding plate/cloth/mail, but it’s always given me (so far) the armor class of the character.

I’m a bit confused as to what exactly is the problem here?

Are you trying to say that the item can’t be used unless you are exactly level 70? If thats the issue, then yeah thats a problem… and should be highlighted as such until it gets properly addressed… because that in no way makes any sense.

Otherwise… needing 70+ is a non-issue… its kinda to be expected if I’m being honest…

Not 70+. You have to be no higher than 70. And if our friend Scarzam is right then you have to be at level 70 too.

Ok… yeah… that is a problem and need to be fixed…

Uh, might have been a coding limitation to make sure the pieces don’t give current expansion gear or something. But yeah just gotta use it on level 70 alts.

Well it was already coded to give pre-dragonflight gear so I doubt it’s that. Also just banking a level 70 alt for JUST dawn of the infinite stuff would be cumbersome considering the nature of the rewards was to be farmable.

I think you need to read the full context. I am saying that it has a level cap to unlock the piece. IE level 71 and up you cannot unlock it. And some are saying that you can’t even do it before level 70. So you have to be level 70. That person I was responding to (who also didn’t read my post) was saying that the armor piece you get was for level 70s. I was pointing out that you don’t get an armor piece.

The level cap on quantum gear items has been removed this week, I was able to open the items with 80s where last week it was only with 70 or below.

Sadly it looks like the loot pool for the items was changed as well because suddenly the head, chest, gloves, and leg items are saying I have all the appearances, but comparing my obtained looks with comments listing some of the possible transmog drops, I am missing a lot. Several other people I have ran with have said the same thing.

I was going to say something once I figured out more. I think it’s broken. Because it’s saying I have all appearances collected on my leather toon. I don’t really make leather toons.
