So honestly didn’t raid much in tbc past kara/grull i think. What’s the best way to go esp given karazan prob prot? you pvp i think u just change spec for pvp with arms and do raids with prot, or is fury/arms even worth doing? Not sure what kinda itemiazatino raid gear is and are you going to use any raid gear as a war for pvp? If so, prob just tank? Come to think of it. you have that resilience stat rendering all raid gear kinda useless in pvp isn’t it? So does that just leave weapons(maybe)? I wonder if guilds will only give good 2 handers to ‘arms’ dps and not tanks?
at any rate seems it almost comes down oto which is most fun in tbc? if raiding has nothign to do with pvp
In tbc you ran 1 prot war, 1 arms war for debuff, and if you really wanted to you could run 1 fury (but they don’t really bring any extra utility). The best pvp weapon (at least early on) for arms is actually the crafted mace for a very long time so you won’t need to raid to get a good pvp weapon
Yeah, as far as fun…I dunno…isn’t being a tank in tbc the most fun? at least it was in kara for me but i dont know about later content - and the other questino is…in later content when 2 handers might actually be good enough to beat the crafted weapons for pvp do guilds just default the 2 handers to the ‘arms’ war and screw the tank?
The question i have about tbc in general…everyone is going to raid so everyone will have raid gear. Outside of rogues with war glaves, is there any class that actually benefits from raid gear given none of it has reslience? Or is raiding just purely for the joy of raiding and all pvp is done with honor grind gear and arena rewards?
Many classes would use some pve gear in pvp, especially classes with lots of cc options and in 2s where bursting down one person was more difficult. It isn’t like in classic though, you will still need PvP gear so you won’t die, but mixing in pve trinkets and some pve offset items/weapons was pretty common
Bullsnot. That sort of min-maxing wasn’t a thing till sunwell.
Just about every guild I raided with ran atleast 2 fury warriors and 2 Prot tanks. Arms was a rarity till sunwell, but some guilds ran them in place of their furies.
Except you can’t make the good mace without raiding as the materials required to upgrade Deep thunder to Stormherald are in SSC/TK and are BoP.
We’re gonna get 2.4.3 talents and we’re gonna get the import of the tbc min max meta from pservers, so that’s how it’s gonna be. Saw it with my own eyes on the most recent iteration of tbc on the pservers.
It’s irrelevant since there will be no TBC added to classic wow. You TBC dreamers need to wake up. Sh**, I bet a whole slew of you are going to committ suicide the moment Bliz announced no TBC because you no-lifers will have nothing to live for
All classes do. Depending on your skill and comp level everyone can benefit heavily from the weapons. IN some cases raid weapons are actually superior when compared to equivilent season pvp ones.
EG. Season 2 1H sword vs Talon of Azshara.
