Quality of Life Changes: A Thank You Note

Salutations fellow Azerothians, and a few of you Outlanders! I walked away from the game just 6 weeks into Dragonflight in pursuit of a non-MMO. But I am back, and man have things gotten worlds better! After my 18 month hiatus, I’m seeing things I wanted in game over the last 18 years (and 3 accounts). So, let me lead with the TL;DR - Thank you Blizz for making a visually stunning game that now eases many pain points of my near 2 decades in WoW.

I said 15 years ago, we needed a “guild bank” for accounts so characters could share items and gold. Well done! Giving more definition to quest givers and making dailies and campaigns easier to follow was also a nice surprise. The Warband campfire scene that lets you see if you have mail, and how much gold you are carrying on each character prevents logging in and out of multiple characters trying to remember who had the gold, or the item.

Transmogs got a major overhaul where now any character can add the appearance without having to equip the item. No more wishing you had your Pally for that Shield drop, or Hunter for that Bow/Gun drop. And no more restrictions on special event items (at least not the ones I am currently using. Bravo to that! I only had one tiny dislike in all of the changes, and you even made sure I had a way to toggle away from Dragon Riding and back into steady flight. Speaking of which, I see Fast flight jumped from 310 to over 400 to match dragon riding speeds.

For all the tar and feathering that happens here, and all of the moaning and groaning, I wanted to take a moment and acknowledge all of the incredible changes which have exceeded my expectations and improved my experience overall. Oh yeah, and the Follower Dungeons… NICE touch! I know I will get flamed for supporting change, and giving credit where it is due. I never come to the forums anymore, but had to come in here just to say…

Thank you Blizzard Team! I came to this game January 19th, 2006 on my original account, and have had my ups and downs. But since coming back to WoW this week… it is nothing but up, up, and up! Not enough people say it, so from the bottom of my little MMO loving heart… Thanks!

you could do that 15 years ago with a personal guild bank but without bop items

True, but defeated the purpose. I would have to log in and out of characters to accomplish the same task as an Account Wide bank that now allows characters to drop it in one place and have access to items used by all. Star Wars: the Old Republic made Legacy Vaults almost instantly allowing the same scenario. I suppose whether it was a personal guild, or guild mule bank, there was an option… but this is FAR better  Also, thanks for the response.
