So with Gallywix now exploit killed twice, can we start tuning our tin foil hats towards Blizzard (not)employing a for real quality assurance team in the form of these guys?
They’re not credited with any other kills in mythic, which means they’ve likely been placed at Gallywix to legitimately test the boss?
This isn’t a knock. Thank you Blizz, if this is really the case, for actually making sure your raid is working properly.
They did have a QA team at one point … Then MS bought them and basically fired 2/3 of staff in CS and QA because they claimed their own staff would fill those roles but never did anything to that end. Blizzard isn’t the problem it’s MS for cutting Blizz’s staff and not filling the gaps.
The question is, how are they getting pulls on Gallywix? No other boss kills are being credited to them, and as far as we know, no other exploits are being performed on other bosses. These guys may legit be the QA team. Are we seeing them kill the boss legit with exclusive testing privileges?
In past RWF, there’s been bugs they’ve made it to live that somehow got missed. Testing on live servers IS the best way to discover/ensure the real player experience isn’t tainted with some game breaker bugs.
Allegedly, yet here they are back “exploiting” the boss again. Completely missing how they dusted the entire rest of the raid to get to this point… again.
Let’s not ignore the obvious nods in the guild name either.
I’ll say it again, kudos to Blizz if this is what’s happening here.
I guess you missed that Blizz actually commented officially on the first ‘kill’, huh?
Would be weird to describe the events in this way if it was something that they were doing themselves. Sounds more like a group of very public exploiters to me. And I don’t think they’re doing it for any reason other than to troll people, including Blizzard.
Bobby was always a POS who favored driving up content speed while cutting staff just to keep the shareholders and board happy and get himself those hefty bonuses. But MS made things infinitely worse as we constantly see massive bugs make it to live because there is basically no QA now. They basically treat the live servers and players as testers.
There was still some sembelance of QA taking place even after Bobby fired those 800 people. Now there is almost no form of QA taking place due to MS not filling those gaps that did also get fired when they took over. CS and QA were basically destroyed by MS. So yes Bobby fired a lot of QA but not all , MS basically removed the remainder when they took control.
It’s common with not only just blizzard but many gaming companies in modern time to rely on beta, early access etc to test the product. I think it’s safe to say, that doesn’t work.
Let’s just assume like old fashion blizzard, it’s working as intended
