Quackers the terrible did not appear?!?

I created my duck trap. I trapped a duck. I placed the trapped duck in the nest. No quackers appeared and the trap was consumed. What do I do now. I don’t have the trap, the kit to make the trap or the trapped duck any more.

CS won’t give game hints but I see this wowhead comment about being very particular about the trap spot:

Turns out that you can only use the device when the right tribe is in the area. Otherwise it burns off but no quackers.

Anyone know how I get another frame to replace the one I used?

Maybe wait for the Aylaag to camp in the right place again? Hopefully it will respawn.
